// Apparently, dialogue makes things a lot longer. Who knew? I certainly didn't until now, lol. This chapter title also is bad. Ignore it please.

☁︎ CHAPTER 14 ☁︎

If one were to enter the Yaoyorozu residence and navigate its extravagant halls, they'll find that one of the rooms is not like the others. In contrast to the elegance and expensive decor, this particular room could best be described as drastically different yet also a breath of fresh air.

Various posters of rock n' roll bands, album covers, and a few pro hero posters decorated the walls. Among the storm of wall decor hung a large orange banner displaying a white Fairy Tail Guild emblem, much like the one Dealana remembered hung outside the guild hall.

The bed positioned against the wall was lined with a thin layer of dust, a tell-tale sign that it wasn't used. Instead, the surface lay scattered with books and folded blankets. Above it hung a simple, but comfortable hammock, swinging idly as Dealana rested nestled among the numerous blankets.

She kept her eyes closed, the sensation of rocking lulled her mind into a state of limbo. Nearby, a small-by-Yaoyorozu-standards TV was turned on and set to the news channel. With her headphones on the work desk nearby, the reporter's voice reached her ears.

"Up next: an update on yesterday's incident at the U.A. Rescue Training Center where hero course students were attacked by a gang of villains."

The storm dragon slayer inhaled sharply, memories of the incident replaying vividly in her head. Her eyes moved frantically beneath her eyelids and her lips twisted into a frown. She remembered it all clearly, which was understandable as it all went down just the day prior, but it unearthed so much of what she once believed to be buried deep within her mind.

"According to new police officials, the criminal forces called themselves: the League of Villains."

"It's a pleasure to meet you. We are the League of Villains."

Drifting deeper, Dealana shifted around when Kurogiri's voice replayed in her head. She remembered the pitch black abyss that stole her vision, sent her falling and slipping through the floor into the downpour of artificial rain and windy gales.

"Investigators have reportedly uncovered that this group has been plotting to kill U.A. teacher and popular hero, All-Might in the spring of this year."

"Oh, before we leave, let's make sure the symbol of peace is broken. Let's wreck his pride. Let's make this hurt!"

Dealana subconsciously shuddered at the memory of Shigaraki's raspy voice. That's right, the self-proclaimed League of Villains had been there for All-Might. They wanted to kill the Symbol of Peace. But before that they didn't care who they had to go through.

She easily recalled the sound of her arm snapping like a twig and her cry of pain that followed. But it was never her own injuries that bothered her. The sound of Mr. Aizawa's arm being broken and the pained scream that followed branded itself into her skull. The real fear she felt had been with the thought of losing the teachers and classmates.

Her teachers and classmates.

The idea of losing them tortured Dealana mentally throughout the fight and during the aftermath, a tiny lingering voice in the back of her mind whispering all those 'what ifs'. Dealana found herself plagued with the death of the Tenrou Team and the potential deaths that could've been at the USJ.
