This is both good news and bad news.

The good news is, my work is monetized.

The bad news is, the story isn't free to read anymore. I'm sorry.

So, anyway. Here is the story. I agreed to an exclusive contract. Lipat ko lang sa website nila 'yung story, no problem, 'di ba? People can still read it for free. Well that's what I thought until I was asked by someone why it requires money to unlock its chapters.

Dreame made my story pay-to-read and I was given this explanation that my story is doing well so they automatically made it pay-to-read.

That's okay...because wow, who would've thought I can earn thousands monthly for a story that sat for I think five years here in Wattpad without earning even a single piece of candy.

What I hated about it was that they failed to tell me that they were going to do that. Alam niyo 'yon? 'Di ba, ang bastos lang. Pagkakaperahan din naman nila kasi hati kami sa bayad sa Dreame coins for my story so sana konting paalam man lang.

Disclaimer, I love my editor on Dreame and she has nothing to do with that sudden change.

But anyway... there's a part of the contract where it said I'd allow them to exploit my work if I signed. I signed so maybe 'yun na ang exploit na tinutukoy nila. Pero bastos pa rin, eh. 'Di nagpapaalam. Any way I try to look at it, I should've been given a heads up. Because 1.) I could've applied for pay to read in the future, which I wouldn't have because I honestly want to just leave the story free-to-read. 2.) Formality :^) 3.) Nakakainis lang din talaga sa part na I knew new people wanted to read the story so they made an effort to download the Dreame app just for them to find out that they must pay in order to unlock the chapters tapos ang ka-announce announce ko pa is IT IS STILL FREE TO READ! Tengene! 🙄 Sorry sa mga nadisappoint.

Soooooooo... What's done is done. I honestly can't be assed to have it reverted back to being free. Because... although nakakainis na walang pasabi sakin, it is still a good thing for me and the story. And they (Dreame) have the means naman so okay. I just didn't take the surprise as a good one.

I hope you all understand that this is an opportunity to me as a writer. Choice ko naman na magsign sa kanila so please respect that. It is my work. I can do whatever I want with it.

If you're poor or just don't want to spend a single cent on my story, that's fine. Your money, your choice! :D

Saying that because ang daming poor kids na basher ng mga kakilala kong writers. Hindi ko pa na-eexperience kasi ngayon lang ako may pay-to-read okay so sa kanila talaga to sinasabi, hindi sakin. Mga sinasabi eh "Timawa ka sa pera Ms. Author!" Hahahahaha haysssss. Please don't do that to authors. It's not their fault that they——or we, rather, want to earn money from the things we worked on c: Kung ayaw gumastos, okay lang, 'di 'yung dami pang sinasabi. Kung walang pera, edi wala. Kung walang pang-enroll ngayong 2020 edi wag mag-enroll! Walang pambili ng gadgets at walang pambayad sa mabilis na internet, edi wag mag-enroll! Alangan naman CHED pa ang sasagot ng lahat ng pangangailangan mo? Alangan namang kami pang author ang magbayad para mag-unlock ng chapters para sayo? Charot.

Skl na I disagree with the academic freeze for school year 2020-2021 because this is the critical analogy that people should consider... Okay, let's start with is it anti-poor? CHED has nothing to do with poverty. It is not personal. Hindi CHED ang magbibigay ng pera sayo. At FYI, walang face to face classes ngayon so hindi ko gets ang ibinubunganga ng iba na dadami raw ang COVID-19 cases. Hindi rin sila namimilit na mag-enroll ang lahat so tangina kanino ba nanggaling yung pinililit ni CHED ang lahat ng mga magulang para i-enroll ang mga anak nila?

Forcing an academic freeze would cripple the education progress in the entire country. Paano yung mga batang may kaya ang parents? Tigil din sila kasi hindi kayang sumabay ng mga batang mahirap? That sounds like crab mentality. We live in the real world. And the real world doesn't just stop with emotions like awa para sa mahirap, or lungkot para sa sariling poor status. The world shouldn't be stopped by the fear of some people who can't do some things. Tuloy lang ang mundo. At hindi niyo dapat hinahatak ang iba para huminto just because hindi niyo kaya o may ibang tao na hindi kayang sumabay c: Sounds harsh pero problema niyo kung ano ang problema niyo, hindi nila problema.
