Off Limits

Amy had went looking for berries. While I tried helping Carol make somewhat of a dinner.

T-dog Morales,Merle, Glenn and Andrea had went on a run into the city. I wanted to go but Shane threw a fit refusing to let me go.

Queen Lori was laying in the RV with a headache. Funny it always came when there were things to be done.

"Hey you have any luck?" I asked as Amy made her way back to where I was.

"Found some berries, but how do you check if there poision or not?" She asked.

"Ask Shane when he gets back I have no idea." I smiled.

"I'm gona go look down this way see if I can find mushrooms or anything."

Dale was on top of the RV keeping watch.

"Hey Dale I'm gona wonder out a bit see if I can find anything."

"Okay stay close if you need me holler I'll come running." He said.

"Okay I will. Carl stay in Dale's sight till your mom comes out. I'll be back soon."

I walked a little ways before coming to a patch of berries. While picking them I thought I heard a rustle. Seeing nothing I kept going. A little further down I definitely heard branches cracking. Grabbing my knife from my boot. I turned back towards camp.

Suddenly an arm wrapped around my waist. I screamed twirling around swinging my knife.

"Hey watch out." He ducked laughing.

"Shane!" I said smacking at him. "Are you outta your damn mind I could have stabbed you."

"Hell you almost did." He laughed.

"I'm glad you find it funny." I scoffed.

I started to walk off and he grabbed my arm.

"Hey what's going on? Why you so mad at me? You barely talk to me anymore."

I stood there with a scowl on my face saying nothing. He put his hand up to my cheek.

"Come on short stack what did I do?"

"You did nothing Shane."

"Bullshit Emma I know you better than that. Now tell me."

"I said nothing now let me go."

"No I'm not until you tell me what's got a burr up your ass at me."

"What do you care? Why don't you just go hang out with Lori." I spat.

"Hang out with Lori? Why would I? You know I can barely stand her."

"Didn't seem that way on the highway. She came back clinging to your arm." I looked down.

He chuckled." That's why you've been pissed at me?"

I didn't say anything.

He laughed slightly rubbing his head.
"Emma." He said coming closer.

I backed away until I felt a tree behind me.

He leaned one arm onto the tree hovering over me.

"We're you jealous?" He asked smirking.

I swallowed. "No..um why would I be?"

"I don't know you tell me." His face just inches from mine.

I could hear my heart pounding in my ears.

"Well I wasn't so.."

"I think you were.......Theres only one girl in this camp. I give two shits about Emma,and it sure as hell ain't Lori."
