"Sakuya! Sakuma! Lunch!"

Everyone knows that the Hatake household is lively. Ever since the two boys had been born, there was hardly a quiet moment. To top it off, Iruka was a very motherly character. While Kakashi struggled with parenting and often got punished alongside his sons, Iruka was like a fish in water when it came to teaching his kids and husband.

Like a fire drill, two sweaty boys barreled into the house and dashed for the bathroom, trying to get to the sink first.

"No running indoors!" Iruka's yell could be heard from the kitchen and Kakashi grimaced. He was teaching his sons how to transform and hadn't transformed back to his human's ears so Iruka's yell hurt more than usual.

The teacher who finished placing the last bowl of miso soup on the table saw his husband with those furry appendages and apologised quickly, kissing the man to ease the pain he caused earlier.

"Were they able to hold their transformation?" he asked in a voice softer than usual while Kakashi transformed back to his human form. The hybrid form had both advantages and disadvantages in the modern era. While it was very useful for hunting like what Kakashi was teaching his two three-year-old sons, it was not very convenient when they were in the city.

"Sakuma is slightly better at holding transformations but Sakuya was able to find and track the rabbits quicker. What's for lunch?" the werewolf asked and Iruka chuckled.

"Miso soup, prawn tempura and grilled beef. You should wash up before you sit down. Help me check on the boys, won't you? Naruto and Sasuke will drop by later. Itachi and Kurama sent something too so I'll have the boys open them up when their uncles arrive."

Kakashi nodded and left to find the two troublemakers. It was hard to believe that three years ago, these two rascals were born and even further back, their lives were so different. If Kakashi hadn't been stabbed and Iruka never brought him back to his tiny apartment that day, Sakuma and Sakuya would never have been born. Kakashi would never have a family and he would still be lonely while Sasuke and Naruto found each other, leading Itachi and Kurama to hook up too.

"Iruka," Kakashi turned around and called out.

"Yes?"

Kakashi took in the sight of his beautiful mate in an apron, holding a wooden spoon in one hand. He smiled. "I love you."

The blush on Iruka's cheeks was all it took for Kakashi to know that he was loved too and quickly went to find his boys in case they were up to no good again. Although he didn't have daughters, he was happy to have two children who were born safely despite the complications in male pregnancy.

Lunch was a messy affair as usual and Iruka sighed at the mess he had to clean up after Sakuma stole some of Sakuya's grilled beef. The two quickly got into a fight, bringing out claws and poor Sakuya got scratched on his cheek during the fight. Iruka wasn't pleased but left the punishing to daddy Kakashi who harshly grounded Sakuma. Iruka fussed over the wound despite the quick regeneration abilities. The teacher gave his sons disapproving looks and the hung their heads low. The mood was tense and nobody dared to interfere when Iruka was in such a mood.

Naruto and Sasuke came at such timing. At once, the golden fox was on his toes while Sasuke raised an eyebrow.

"What did they do this time?" the Uchiha asked calmly.

Iruka huffed and explained about the silly fight over food during lunch. Naruto hummed. "That's only natural. Both your sons are alphas, it's a territory issue and at their age, it must be very hard to control the instincts in them."

The teacher didn't immediately forgive his children because he didn't want any of them thinking that this was a small matter. However, Kakashi was less strict with them and convinced Iruka not to ruin such a special reunion. It wasn't easy for Sasuke to have a day off from work or for Naruto to return to the mortal world now that he was officially the fox clan's leader.
