Liz,
You have no idea how much it hurts to let go,
To lose someone who you love,
In life, we always have to make a choice,
And today, I have chosen to let that person go,
It breaks my heart, tears run freely down my face,
I remember all the good things, so I smile as I think of what we shared,
We've got to move on,
Because life doesn't pause to wait on us,
Maybe later on you will learn what it's like to really love,
And to be loved,
Perhaps you will find that special someone, but at the moment,
It's time to get detached and walk on,
Don't worry, life isn't always about pain,
I assure you that you will smile again.
