Mira Lane is a nature lover as well as avid photographer, often venturing into the forest behind her house to take breathtaking photos. What she didn't expect, however, is to find a man in her back woods only a few years older than her.
Louis Tomlinson is something special, something that hasn't been seen on Earth for thousands of years. He belongs to an ancient civilization, one that knows the Earth and can control the wonders it stores. His abilities amaze Mira, who offers to let him stay at her home in exchange for knowledge about his childhood.
But people like Louis aren't safe in the modern world, and when his life is put in danger Mira must make the ultimate sacrifice: stay in the world she's always seen as home, or risk everything for a wondrous world she's only dreamed of.
