Little disclosure - you might be a bit shocked by Niall's POV lol, it's nothing bad and it may not be what you want but it's my story and I want that. So don't tell me it's a bad idea because it's my idea. Okay thank you.. And also this was written on my iPad so I'm sorry for any mistakes, I tried fixing them but It isn't the easiest to write on an iPad.

"I-I.. Um broke your table ornament. I'm sorry." I chuckled, but she rolled her eyes and leaned her head on my shoulder.

"It's okay." She whispered, almost as if she knew what I was going to say. Things were far too complicated with my life, and I didn't know if I was ready to bring her into that. Sure she was great company and as much as I hated to admit it I liked her quite a bit, but she definitely wasn't ready for my lifestyle, especially since I don't think even I was. "Now stop procrastinating and get on with your snobby lawyer work." She giggled, her eyes fluttering closed. I chuckled, pressing my lips to her forehead.

"Baby.. Before you fall asleep." Her eyes opened slowly and she looked up at me, nodding. "So I was going to ask you if you would um, like to come to a log cabin with me for uh.. Christmas. I usually book it for the 26th to the 30th for me and the lads but I want to spend my couple days break with someone who doesn't do my head in. We will be back in time for my mothers stupid party. Will you come with me?" She smiled, pressing a kiss to my cheek and nodding before resting her head on my lap and closing her eyes. I was surprised she was so chilled about it, I would have to inform the lads that our annual 4 night log cabin stay would be cancelled.. For them. I leaned forward slowly, careful not to wake Jenna up before getting back to the God awful brief that had to be ready In 3 and a half hours.

*Christmas Day*

I had flew back home to Tennessee to see my family, of course I missed them so much and I hadn't phoned or text them nearly as much as I should have. Harley had come home with me, and it was the first I had saw him since he was drunk that night when Jacob brought him home. "Dad!!" I cheered, running to give him a hug. Sammy the cat meowed and lifted his paw to tap my leg. I picked him up and cuddled the small ginger kitten to my chest. "I missed you so much dad." I smiled, walking into the kitchen, the small kitten was still cuddled into my chest, nudging his head into the crook of my neck. My dad chuckled, hugging Harley before handing us both an envelope.

"I missed you both a lot. I'm so glad you're home for Christmas, I thought you'd never want to leave New York. Especially to come see your old pops." I laughed, shaking my head and handing him a gift bag that held his present, a 6 pack of his favourite pear cider, a typical (very cheesy) Christmas jumper and another retro comic to add to his collection, he loved the things.

"Nice!" Harley cheered, pulling a bunch of dollar bills from the card, "thanks dad!" He grinned, pulling him in for a hug, which i soon joined.

"Your mom and Lewis are coming over at 4 and dinner will be served at 5." I made my way into the kitchen, to be greeted with my dad cooking the dinner and Harley feeding Sammy cat food with a wooden spoon. I looked over to see my dad was cooking his infamous cranberry sauce. I grinned, dipping my finger into it before tasting. It was amazing. I couldn't help but wonder what Niall was doing right now, I decided to text him.

Jenna - how's Christmas with your mom? Is everything okay?
Niall - I'm getting through it with 3 beers and a cigarette. She's invited Poppy.
I couldn't help but feel jealous. You are not jealous, you are not jealous.
Jenna - stay calm and don't let her get to you, I can see she knows just how to push your buttons
Niall - I can't wait to spend 4 nights with you.. Alone...
