"EUNICE, you can't decline. Out of all the sketches and designs, yours was favored most by the board."

"But, Madame Lilou—"

Her boss put up her one hand up to stopped her from reasoning. "If you're thinking about losing time for your church ministry, then don't worry. You will only work for the weekdays. Your weekends are still yours to spend however you like." Ngumiti ito at mas naging mabagal ang pagsasalita ng French. "Alam ko kung ano talaga ang priority mo sa pagbalik mo dito sa Paris. I won't compete with that. I considered it beforehand before coming up with the final decision. Ang designs mo ang perpekto para sa London fashion show."

Napapikit si Eunice at huminga nang malalim. Masyadong mabilis ang mga nangyayari at kanina niya pa pinapakalma ang sarili.

"I will put your half of your team to work with you, so you can finish the products on time."

"But how about our team's other projects, Madame?"

"I will let Soleil handle it. Your team will be divided into two. The first half will help you prepare for the London fashion show. Then, the other half will be led by Soleil to work on your on-going projects."

Lahat ng sinabi ng boss ni Eunice ay napaka-convenient sa kanya. Talaga nga yatang pinaghandaan nito ang mga sasabihin sa kanya para wala siyang rason para tumanggi...

"Won't you consider the other designs? Soleil's design perhaps? She's very talented and hers are more dynamic—"

"Eunice, Eunice... I have to agree that Soleil is talented. Kaya tumagal ang pagdedesisyon kung sino ang isasali dahil nahirapan kaming pumili sa pagitan niyo." Madame Lilou smiled. "Parehas na maganda ang inyo. But yours stood out the most."

"It's an old design, Madame."

"And so? It's still an original work." Inilabas nito ang ipinasa niyang designs, isa-isang ipinatong iyon sa lamesa nito. "Hindi mo ba nakikita kung gaano ka kagaling, Eunice? Sa tingin mo ba ay bakit kita laging pinipilit noon na bumalik sa trabaho dito sa Paris, kahit alam kong may pamilya ka na sa Pilipinas? That I'm willing to take your family here and finance everything, just for you to come back and work for us?"

Sobrang bilis ng French nito dahil sa excitement sa tinig. Eunice can't ignore that.

"Madame Lilou..." She sighed in surrender. "Thank you for always believing in me... I truly appreciate how you adore my works."

"Say as well that I am fan. But the board picked you without biases. Baka sa susunod na taon ay si Soleil naman ang isali namin. Baka nga ang design niya ang isali namin sa American fashion gala ngayong taon. Pinag-uusapan pa lang. Pero ngayon, I want you to focus for the London fashion show."

Tumango si Eunice at nagpasalamat ulit sa boss niyang napakataas ng tiwala at bilib sa kanya.

What if this is an opportunity that the Lord wanted her to take? Kahit hindi niya pa ipinagdadasal, basta't nais ng Diyos, ibibigay talaga sa kanya... And this is also a blessing. No doubt. Lahat ng bagay ay in-adjust na para sa kanya kahit hindi niya pa hinihiling.

Akala niya magagamit niyang rason ang personal schedule para tumanggi, pero si Madame Lilou na ang kusang gumawa ng paraan para walang ma-sacrifice, lalo na ang pagse-serve niya sa church ministry.

Masaya naman si Eunice. Kaya nga niya kanina pa binabalanse ang emosyon dahil mataas at magulo. But while talking with Madame Lilou, she got to sort out her feelings...
