"You're looking at me like that, again", I said with an insecure smile on my lips. His eyes were so intense that it was hard to look right at them. It was as if his eyes could send a million emotions through me just by begin there.

"Like what?", he asked and propped himself up on his elbow. I didn't know how to answer him at first. I didn't know how to describe it. With his piercing blue eyes and all the intensity in them, I barley knew how to say anything. After so many years it was still the same.

"It's like you've just seen the light after a lifetime in darkness, as if you've never been able to imagine anything more amazing", I said and was still not sure if that was the way to describe it. He smiled and put one hand to my cheek. I smiled back with love.

"That's exactly how I feel when I look at you. There is no other person in this world who has ever made me feel like that. You make me feel like everything is okay, even when it's not. The world could be falling apart but I wouldn't, just as long as you are okay", he explained and kissed me sweetly. I answered his kiss just as much lightly as he had kissed me. We broke the kiss soon after it happened happily. Not much had changed between us through the years, but one thing that had was our way of showing our love. We didn't always need to be fierce, our love didn't need to be shown with a thousand flames. A small spark was just enough sometimes because we knew the meaning behind it.

"Sky! Damon! Hurry down, it's time!", I heard my sister yelling from downstairs. We captured the moment, just for a second, before we got up from the bed in the boarding house and went down the stairs. The parlor had turned into a dining room. A big, round table had been set up and people were standing up behind their chairs. Everyone was there. Some faces were different from before, some were just the same. Jeremy, Bonnie and Matt all looked older. Jeremy had his arm around Bonnie, who held a little baby in her arms. They smiled at us as we entered and got to our seats. Matt was standing beside April and they both hade happy smiles on their faces. I could see the rings on their fingers and wondered once more how that could of happened. I had been kind of sad when Matt and Rebekah had broken up, but there wasn't anything else to expect in a vampire human relationship. April and Matt had then somehow started dating and just four months ago they had gotten married. Damon and I had been there. Rebekah had to, but not alone. Some guy named Marcel had been with her. I had later learned from Katherine that Rebekah and Marcel had known each other a long time ago. It was kind of an old lovers finding each other again. I thought it was cute.

"Everyone take a seat, it's time for our feast", said Caroline with a smile and clapped her hands together once. Klaus put an arm around her and pulled her in for a kiss. Caroline pushed him away with a playful frown and told him to sit down. Everyone sat down and started filling their plates with food.

"Wait!", I said and stood up. I was smiling and held my glass in one hand.

"It wouldn't feel right to start this without a speak of some kind", I told them and looked down at their smiling faces. For a second it hit me that I had no idea what I should say. I had just stood up without thinking. I would have to think something up on the spot.

"So, another christmas. Isn't it strange that it's been ten years since we got rid of Silas? Since then we have all lived our own happily ever after, but on every christmas, every birthday we have been there for each other. Think back eleven or twelve years ago. Then this wouldn't of happened. For one, Damon was the bad guy the same way Klaus was. Look at us now! We're all happy, we've all gotten what we wanted. That I think is worth toasting for. So cheers for our happy endings!", I said and raised my glass. The others answered with their own cheers. I sat down again and dinner started.

"You always find some ways to bring up me being the bad guy", Damon mumbled in my ear which made me smile. I turned to him and kissed his cheek.

"Maybe I just like to remind myself of what an amazing bad boy you were", I told him and raised my eyebrows. His lips formed into his famous smirk.

"So I was an 'amazing bad boy'?", he asked cocky. I just rolled my eyes at him and took a sip of my wine. I turned my attention back to the others who were discussing Bonnie and Jeremy's baby, Christina. Damon was not done with me though. He leaned towards me so that his lips were just by my ear.

"Am I still a bad boy to you?", he murmured and I turned to him with a sincere face.

"Are you scared that you've lost your touch?", I asked him and drew my hand through his hair. He nodded, almost non visible.

"You will always be a really amazing bad boy." Before Damon could answer Stefan touched me with his elbow a few times.

"Could you please stop with that? Some of us are actually trying to eat", he said with raised eyebrows. I smiled smugly but both Damon and I agreed to stop. The rest of the dinner drew me back to the past. It felt good to be back in the boarding house. Stefan and Elena had taken over the house while Damon and I lived a little all over the place. The last year we had lived in Italy, all by ourselves. It had been nice, but I had been missing the others when we weren't together.

After dinner we gathered around the tree to open the gifts. I sat on the couch with a glass of bourbon in my hand. Elena and Caroline were on the floor next to the tree and were handing out gifts.

"Damon, this one is for you!", said Elena and I couldn't help but smile when I saw that it was one of the ones I had bought him. He opened it with his eyes set on me. When his eyes landed on the thing I couldn't help but laugh.

"You did not buy me an ugly christmas swather!", he said with an almost terrified face.

"Wait until you see what I have planned for next year", I said evilly and chuckled lowly. Damon's terrified face turned to me but stayed the same. I got up from the couch and picked up another gift from the floor. I handed it over to Damon and kissed him quickly.

"You might like this one a little bit better", I said and sat down again. He opened it and sat down next to me. His face was almost awestruck, but mostly it was unbelieving. Inside the box was a key, a car key. I smiled and dragged him outside. There stood an exact replica of Damon's old car, the one that we had crashed in. Damon turned toward me, moving his eyes away from the car, and kissed me hard.

"I love you so much Sky", he said and I smiled lovingly back at him.

"I love you too Damon. Merry Christmas."

A little bonus chapter because I was feeling the christmas spirit.
