Dracos pov

"Did you hear about the fight last night?" Hermione asked as we walked to potions "yea, I get where the boys are coming from...which is why I think tha-" I began "dont you finish that sentence" she said pulling me down to an empty corridor "I'm in this for long game, I am gonna be with you and Lilly the entire time to help you search for your mum.....I know when the time comes you'd do the same for me...right?" She said, her hazel eyes meeting mine "of course" I replied. She smiled and gave me a kiss before we seperated and began walking back to potions

Lilly's pov

It was finally lunch and I made my way over to see pansy "I heard about last night" she said as I sat down "wow...news spreads fast round here" I said "so what did you do?" She questioned "told him to take the break....he needs it" I said "hunny, he isn't the only one who's had it tough...look after yourself as well..okay?" Pansy said, giving me a hug "of course" I said hugging her back just before we drifted into a normal chat.

Just then the doors burst open and the headmistress came in, two boys behind her "is that..." pansy said "Shaklebolt?" I questioned as I looked over his eyes met mine and he smiled. My face fell "what's he doing here?" I questioned, I looked for Ginny over at the gryffindor table and she raised an eyebrow before we turned our attention to the headmistress "Goodafternoon students, I hope classes are going well and you are all settling in well. We have a special visitor here to speak to our 7th and returning 7th years so once the meal is over could they all stay behind" she said. "Wonder what that's about" I said, before going back to my food.

When lunch finished I found Harry in the crowd of 7th years and sat down "good afternoon students, so after the war as you know we lost many wizards who will greatly be missed" he began, I rubbed Ginny arm as I heard her let out a small whimper "but...we still have many deatheaters and dangerous people out there...some in hiding" he said, his eyes meeting mine. "We have noticed some students looking into things that they shouldn't be....this is your formal request to please stop. Enjoy your last year..."he said, his voice dull.

I looked at mcgonagoll who looked quite annoyed "this is all...I really have to say, but if we find out any student has been looking into these matters again....there will be serious consequences" he spat, his eyes once again meeting mine. I could feel the anger bubble inside me as he left along with many other students. Mcgonagol looked at the 7 of us, knowing we weren't leaving with out more information. "What?" She questioned "you know that was aimed at us, because of my mother. You can't tell me headmistress that you actually feel that, that wasn't aimed" draco said

"I do believe it was aimed...but you heard the minister. I'm sorry mr Malfoy...miss Malfoy...you need to stop this search. Let the ministry handle this, I can no longer cover for you...any of you" she said before walking out "she can't be serious!" I spat, getting up and following her "Lilly!" The group shouted following me out "Headmistress!" I shouted and she turned "Yes?" She questioned "Please.." I said, my voice breaking "Please, I can't loose anyone else" I said, a tear falling. She walked over slowly and lifted my head up. Dabbing the tear with her robe

"Dear, I wish I could help you, but you weren't the only two warned to stay out of this" she said, her eyes darting over to what appeared to be a camera. She walked away leaving me standing in my own "come on" Harry said, his hand slipping into mine as I watched the light blink in the corner of the wall.

I lay on my bed, looking through old photos of my family, trying to find hints or some way of tracking her when I heard a tapping sound on the window. I got up and noticed it was the family owl, I let her in and she rested on my arm "What are you doing here, sky" I said, stroking her head. I noticed the letter attached to her and took it off, opening it and begging to read

My dear girl,

I hope you're staying safe. I've heard mumbles of Kingsley being in and out of the school recently, keep out of his way my sweet girl. The last photo you need is hidden in our favourite place, it'll give you the answer. Don't get caught and only tell your brother. Once you find the photo tell all your friends if you'd like but right now, keep this to yourselves. I don't have much more time left to write, just know I love you both and I promise I'm safe.

I kept re-reading it, over and over as if she was going to bring me to her "I know where to find it" I whispered, looking through the photo album and finding a photo of us in a park close by hogsmede. Mum and I had found it her visit to us in my first year, she's meet me every week there. Grabbing my bags I went straight to the heads dorm, as I got closer I heard shouting "You can't just make her leave!" I heard Draco shout

"If we leave we can look further around the wizard world!" Harry shouted back "She told you to stay out of it Harry" hermione said "So stay out of it, you won't be separating me and my sister!" Draco shouted just as I opened the door "Who won't be separating us?" I questioned, pretending I hadn't heard the whole thing "It's nothing Lilly" Harry said, I only nodded going up to draco and whispering what the letter had said in his ear "Your positive?" He questioned

"Never been more positive" I replied, he nodded "Okay, make sure you're safe" he said "I always am, I'll go tonight" I said, he nodded "What are you to whispering about?" Pansy asked "I'll tell you soon" I said, she smiled not prying anymore "what is it?" Harry asked "I can't tell you yet.." I said "You can't tell me? I'm your boyfriend?" He questioned "I know, but this needs to stay between me and draco" I said "Lilly" he said with annoyance in his voice

"No Harry, it needs to be kept between me and draco. If I'm right then I'll tell you. I also told you to stay out of this" I said, my voice serious "Me staying out of this doesn't mean you keeping secrets from me!" He spat "I told you that once I figure out if I'm right I'll tell you! I'm not keeping secrets I'm just being sure!" I spat back "No, you're hiding something. I know when you are, you got like this before the war, before you left" he spat, I gasped slightly "Harry-" hermione said "what!? Are you planning on disappearing again?!" He asked "Harry that's not fair!" I hissed

"That was a low blow...." Pansy whispered "I...Harry you should go" hermione said, leading him out "No, I'm not finished here" he said, walking back over "Harry I think you should go and calm down" i said, not looking at him "you can come find me when you're ready to apologise for embarrassing me infront of our friends" I hissed "Embarrassing? You're joking right?" He asked, i swung round "you just brought up a part of me I never wanted to hear about, a part of me I'm embarrassed about and I'm about 2 minutes away from going full Malfoy on your ass so I advice you go" I spat, he only looked at me before scoffing and slamming the door

"I can't believe him" hermione said, Pansy went over to hug me but I shook her off "I'm a big girl, it's fine. I'm gonna go and plan for tonight. I'll see you all later" I said, walking out. Only letting a tear fall when I knew the door was closed.
