Virgil walked Roman to his house and sat him on the couch. "I'm going to make us some food. I'll be back in a second okay?"

Roman nodded and sunk into giant comfy couch. Virgil's living room was a lot more colorful than what was expected, with a fuzzy green carpet, brown couch, and blue walls.

Next to it was the dining room that had a pretty big table and a grand piano. The hallway was lined with guitars and pictures of people Roman didn't know, but most of their faces were blocked, or had white out over them. He only recognized Patton in one or two of them.

Virgil came back in with what looked like ravioli. "It's all I have right now sorry."

Roman smiled a little. "It's okay. Thanks for letting me stay here...I do want to find a job soon and get back to living on my own."

Virgil pushed his purple bangs out of the way and nodded. "What exactly happened? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

Roman gulped. "Well I had a desk job at a big company but I was too over passionate and the quietness took a toll on my mental health since I need to move and be free and sing. I um made too many mistakes and I got called up to my bosses office and um-" a sob cut him off.

Virgil shut him up with a hug. "Hey, hey. It's going to be okay. I'm sure you can find another job to put your creativity in. And in the meanwhile you have your show to worry about." Virgil smiled softly.

Roman nodded. "Yeah okay.."

"If you want I could put on a movie for you? I'm going to be in the back, but you can watch whatever."

Roman nodded again and grabbed a blanket. "I do like Alice in Wonderland.."

Virgil grinned. "That and the black couldren are my favorites." Virgil turned on the TV and put Alice in Wonderland on. "I'll check on you in a bit."

"Okay Mom." Roman teased back, and turned his focus to the TV.

A while later he heard singing in the back along with a guitar.

"When you first left me, I was wanting more
But you were fucking that girl next door, what'cha do that for?
When you first left me, I didn't know what to say
I've never been on my own that way, just sat by myself all day

I was so lost back then
But with a little help from my friends
I found a light in the tunnel at the end
Now you're calling me up on the phone
So you can have a little whine and a moan
And it's only because you're feeling alone

At first, when I see you cry
Yeah, it makes me smile, yeah, it makes me smile
At worst, I feel bad for a while
But then I just smile, I go ahead and smile

Whenever you see me, you say that you want me back
And I tell you it don't mean jack, no, it don't mean jack
I couldn't stop laughing, no, I just couldn't help myself
See, you messed up my mental health, I was quite unwell

I was so lost back then
But with a little help from my friends
I found a light in the tunnel at the end
Now you're calling me up on the phone
So you can have a little whine and a moan
And it's only because you're feeling alone

At first, when I see you cry
Yeah, it makes me smile, yeah, it makes me smile
At worst, I feel bad for a while
But then I just smile, I go ahead and smile

La-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la

At first, when I see you cry
Yeah, it makes me smile, yeah, it makes me smile
At worst, I feel bad for a while
But then I just smile, I go ahead and smile
At first, when I see you cry
Yeah, it makes me smile, yeah, it makes me smile
At worst, I feel bad for a while
But then I just smile, I go ahead and smile"

That was definitely Virgil singing. Roman slowly crept to the back to see Virgil looking at a photo before ripping it up and sighing.
