Chapter Six

The next month or so things were bitter sweet.

Things around Damon got easier, I still ignored and avoided him as much as possible, but I was able to put everything that happened between us to the back of my mind, it was almost like it never happened.

Almost.

The second day of school was easier, but not much. He kept trying to talk to me, and I kept ignoring him or giving him short answers, but at the same time trying to be as polite as possible and he seemed to take the hint.

I felt bad for it but I really just couldn’t handle it all and I didn’t want him to know the truth and I was afraid I would blurt it out at any given moment if he kept talking to me.

Two weeks later I was in English with Alexis when Damon came in and sat by us

“Did you need something?” I asked rudely. I didn’t mean too and I felt guilty but I was just so tired, this library thing was taking its toll with work and volunteering

“Well someone’s in a bad mood” he shot back

“Well looks like someone else is too” I glared at him, I didn’t have the energy for this

“Wow, both you shut up” Alexis cut in.

“Arianna, you need to sleep more, no working on the library tonight or else” She said concerned for me

“You’ll do what? You got nothing on me!” I smirked at her

“Ari, I know all your secrets.” She pointed out, fair point there

“Oh girl, I know more of yours” I said back.

“But I know your biggest one, and it’s bigger than mine”

“You wouldn’t” I gasped. She wouldn’t tell Damon!

“Then no doing anything with the library today!” she replied with a smirk. “And you, she turned to Damon”

“Me what?”

“You need to get laid or something, weekend not a great one for you?” she asked bluntly.

“More like weekends.” He mumbled

“Well that explains why you’re so grumpy” there was a pause. “Wait, was the last time at your party?” she asked suddenly amused and he frowned at her

“Maybe.” He said defensively “It’s not really any of your business is it?” he asked and she shrugged

“It’s absolutely none of my business, you’re right.” She agreed and dropped it, at least she knew when to respect someone’s privacy, kind of.

Alexis passed me a note

Oh my god, he hasn’t slept with anyone since you, he so likes you.

Shut up.

Maybe Skye should go to another party ;)

Not happening.

How about a little bit of teasing him?

Nope, drop it

Come on, you can’t tell me you don’t want him

Leave me alone

And with that I ignored all the other notes. I wanted no part in any kind of plans forming in her evil little mind. He may be kind of a jerk but he didn’t deserve to be mesed with.
