#28 Spontaneous

"Let's do something crazy!" Niall suggests.
You laugh at his joke with your mouth full of potato chips.

"I'm serious!" he argues, grabbing a handful of chips from the bag.
"C'mon Niall, I love you but you are a literal grandpa."
He rolls his eyes.
"Your idea of crazy is probably running on the golf course instead of walking," you continue.
He playfully hits you with the pillow under his head and swiftly places it back in its place, "I'll have you know that I can be very spontaneous."
You dust the crumbs off your pyjamas and sigh, "I guess I'll have to see it to believe it, babe."
He becomes quiet and you suddenly become afraid that you've hurt his feelings.

You run your fingers through his hair, "Why the sudden urge to do something crazy?"
He shrugs, "This movie."

The movie you're watching is Call Me By Your Name.

"I'm gonna need you to elaborate for me honey," you request.
"Just look at Oliver and Elio's relationship. They spent so long waiting for each other and when they finally were falling in love, they ran out of time."
"Yeah, but we're already in love Niall," you argue.
"Yeah, I know that, but my point is that life's too short and we shouldn't waste our time doing boring things like watching tv on a Friday night."
"You don't like this movie?" you tease.
"I LOVE this movie," he replies.
You chuckle, "Well, what do you suggest Niall? Do you want to run off to Italy together?"
"YES!" he excitedly answers.

You shake your head.
"Well why not?" he snaps.
You turn to him with a surprised expression, "Niall, you know I was joking right?"
He ignores your question and instead gives you one of his own, "Tell me, what are you so busy doing that would come in the way of us running away to Italy together?"
You pause and think about it. You had taken the next couple of weeks off work and Niall was also taking a break from writing. Nothing major came to mind.
"Well, it's not exactly practical is it?" you remind him.
"Exactly. It's crazy. C'mon Y/N, let's be spontaneous!"
"Alright, sure," you agree.

He kisses your head and quickly grabs his laptop from the bedside table behind you.
You giggle, "What are you doing now?"
"Booking our tickets duh," he replies.
"Wait now? For when?" you worry.
"How does tomorrow sound?"

The two of you arrive at Crema and the place is just as beautiful as depicted in the film, if not, even better. The colours outside look so perfect; almost as if they've been painted.

Niall booked a little motel for the two of you to stay at for the next few weeks. The room itself is charming too. A queen bed fills up most of the room and in the corner is a little bathroom, perfect enough for the two of you. You drop your bags and immediately run to the little balcony at the front of the room that overlooks the quiet road below. You take in the sight of the locals riding their bikes and the organic stores opening up their shops for the day. Everything is so simplistic yet so perfect.

Niall sneaks up behind you and wraps his arms around your waist while kissing your shoulder.
"Thank you for bringing me here Nialler."
He spins you around and presses a kiss to your forehead.
"For you, I'd do anything princess."
You smile and give him a tight hug.

"Alright angel, what do you wanna do first?"
You look down at the street below, "Up for a bike ride Horan?"
He smirks, "Hell yeah! Just let me change first."

Niall runs inside to fix up his outfit for the day while you go into the bathroom to fix your hair and makeup. When you come out, you catch Niall doing his hair in the mirror and you momentarily freeze. He's wearing a tight white singlet, tucked into a brown pair of trousers and his blue eyes glisten in his reflection. Reality sinks in and you cannot believe how lucky you are to be with someone so perfect. He catches you staring in the mirror and gives you one of his cheeky winks which makes the butterflies in your stomach go wild. You cannot wait for the upcoming weeks in this city with this incredible man.
