(Y/L/N = Your Last Name)

Niall's P.O.V.

I waited fifteen minutes for Y/N to call me back or at least text me but she didn't. That's when I knew something wasn't right; she usually replied to my texts within five minutes. I called her again, except this time the phone didn't ring. I began to panic and went through all the worst-case scenarios; she got lost and had no service, someone kidnapped her, or she got into an accident and is hurt. I immediately erased all of these thoughts and started thinking optimistically; maybe she didn't answer because she's driving or perhaps her phone died. She told me earlier that she'd be here by 7:45 pm so I decided to wait until then, although it made me very uneasy.

I got dressed in my black and white suit and tie to fill in the time. I finally sat down on the sofa next to the balcony and continued to wait for her arrival. While I waited, I sent her several text messages. Her phone still wasn't ringing and this made me even more uncomfortable. I should've tried harder to convince her to come with us this morning or better yet, I should've gone with her myself or arranged for someone to come with her. It was already 8 pm and partying was the last thing I felt like doing, but I left my room and went to the party to see if she was there. I searched every face and even mingled with a few people in the process, asking them if they saw her, but no one did. Suddenly, a familiar voice called my name behind me. I turned around and saw Louis! I didn't know he was invited to this party and for just a quick moment I forgot all about my worries and pulled him into an embrace, patting him on the back.

"Tommo!" I exclaimed.
"I sure am happy to see you here Nialler," he announced, sliding a drink into my hand.
A photographer approached us, "Wow 2/5 of One Direction! I need to get a photo!"
I slung my arm around Louis' shoulder and he threw up the peace sign.
"Ugh I can't stand most of the people invited here," he confessed once the photographer left, "Where's Y/N?"

When he said her name my smile faded and my shoulders slumped.
"To be honest mate, I don't know."
He gave me a puzzled look, "Did something happen between the two of you?"
"No, No," I assured him "She was supposed to be on her way but she stopped answering my texts and her phone stopped ringing."
"Maybe her phone died," he suggested.
"That's what I thought but she said that she would be here at 7:30 and it's now 8:30."
"It's probably just traffic, I'm sure she's fine," he assured, flashing his cheeky smile.
I nodded. "How are you liking the party?"
He grimaced, "It's honestly just like every other party, but the music sucks."
I chuckled and took a sip of my drink.
"I miss you lad. We need to catch up soon! It just sucks because we're on such different sche-"

The ringing phone in my hand cut Louis off. I immediately put down my drink, except when I looked at the name of the caller, it wasn't one I expected to see. It was Y/N's mum. My breath hitched in my throat as I answered. Louis watched me with curious and fearful eyes.

"Hello! Mrs. Y/L/N! Is everything al-?"
Before I could finish, she cut me off. "Niall! It's Y/N! She's been in an accident!"
My heart began racing and I started to hear it thud in my ears. Y/N's mum was frantic.
"Niall she's at Sunrise Hospital in Vegas! No one is there with her. We're on our way but the L.A. traffic is inching. I need you to go there and make sure my baby's ok!"

I tried to take in her words as a thousand different thoughts flooded through me at the same time. One thing that did stick was the name of the hospital and that was all I needed.
"I'm on my way!"

I shoved my phone in my pocket and ran out of the room and towards the revolving door in the lobby. I heard Louis call my name a few times as he started running behind me. He was faster than me and caught up to me just before I could exit the hotel. He grabbed me and forced me to look at him.

"I need you to tell me what happened mate," he insisted with no sign of breathlessness in his voice.
I, on the other hand, was struggling for air, not because I was running but because my princess was in an accident and was hurt. I didn't know how badly she was hurt but she was hurt and that's all that mattered.

"She was in an accident," I let out in a breath, as I rubbed my temples. I suddenly noticed that my cheeks were wet, I can't even remember beginning to cry but then again, I couldn't remember much in this state.

Louis grabbed my shoulders, "What hospital?"
"Sunrise," I croaked.
He nodded once and let go of me, "Cmon," he said, leading the way, "I'm driving."
