Denise received a text at 10 ish. It was Cherie. A photo ? Opening it up was a screenshot that broke Denise heart and turned her butterflies into moths. There was Devin texting her bestfriend saying he would have actually preferred her due to her lighter complexion and long hair plus he liked her Go-To attitude. Denise reread it over and over. Her vision got blurry she had tears of anger and betrayal. He's getting the best of her and she felt like a helpless and hopeless soul. The last text she sent him told him goodnight with a cute heart behind it. That quickly changed.

They spat horrible things at each other. Denise could not believe how cold hearted he is. He told her he could never love and the argument went so far as to Devin pulling a low blow and bringing up Denise's depression past. It went on like this till 3 a.m. Denise was drained and could not take it anymore. The only time you could get her to stay up was an argument or coffee.
