Age:17
Dustin's POV
  I was in my room reading the latest copy of X-men when I heard a bang on my window. I looked and saw it was Lucas with a bag on his shoulder. I got up and opened the window to let him inside. I could see his eyes were bloodshot and I knew something was wrong because I could tell her was crying and Lucas doesn't cry, ever.
"Whoa whoa what happened?" I asked him
He was breathing kinda heavily and he set his bag down.
"Lucas" I started but he cut me off
"Dustin just" He said coming towards me and burying his face in my neck. "Hold me" He said
I wrapped my arms around him still utterly confused as to what happened to him. We both didn't say anything. We just stood in the middle of my room with me holding him.
"You wanna tell me what happened now?" I asked him eventually
"My parents found out" he replied
  My heart stopped beating for a second. My mom was cool with Lucas and I being together but his parents would never tolerate it.
"Oh my god. What did they do?" I asked
"Yelled at me, my dad hit me, told me he couldn't have me living with them until I decided to date women"
I held him closer. "I'm so sorry" I told him. "You didn't deserve that, you can stay here"
  He moved his face from my neck and he looked at me.
"I really did not want them to find out this way" he said
"You wanted to tell them?" I said
"Yeah eventually, but not now certainly not now when we're about to go off the college"
"How'd they find out?" I asked
"Remember that book you gave that I always wanted to read? To Kill A Mockingbird?"
"Yes"
"They found the note you left inside it, well Erica found it and showed my mom"
"Oh my god Lucas I'm so sorry"
"It's not your fault Dusty"
"I just feel so bad"
"I know you do, but I'm ok, I mean this hurts like hell, but I'm ok"
I just looked at him sadly.
I kissed his cheek and he smiled.
"I know you're exhausted so I'm gonna get you some clothes and extra blankets and we can cuddle all night ok?" I told him
He just smiled in response.
"I love you" he said
"I love you too"
