Departure

Alana's pov.

    
As I wait for Jason to get his things together to go out to the villiage amd find Jax I wander around the castle halls, trailing my fingers along the walls and skipping every so often. I'm beyond excited to go get my best friend Jax, who I thought I'd never see again. My heart is racing and I'm absolutely giddy!

   Though I know I gave in to Jason easily when he mentioned Jax I couldn't help but agree, he's my everything , how could I say no?? Jason comes around the corner and raises and eyebrow at me when he sees the idiotic smile plastered across my face and I run to his side, the cold marble soothing against my scraped up feet.

He rolls his eyes and we head outside and load everything into a wagon. "I've got to run some erramds while we're out as well, so we might take a few hours." He mumbles and I nod "that's fine, I just want Jax." I say happily. We climb into the wagon amd take off as the driver whips the reigns on the horse and it goes into a trot.

Jason sits across from me and I try my best not to make eye contact with him as he is extremely intimidating and almost as stubborn as me. I look down at my lap and twiddle my thumbs in anticipation. "Stop that, you're making me nervous." Jason finally says after a few minutes of my antics and I look up at him and chuckle. "A grown man nervous by a small girls fidgeting.." I muse and smirk at him.

     He crosses his arms defensively and looks out of the window until we arrive at our destination. "Get out" he says to me and I'm practically already out of the door and running down the street calling Jax's name. "Jax! Come here Jax!" I yell and run until I'm winded. Jason isn't far behind when I collapse on the ground in tears. "He's gone! " I sob and Jason dkes something unexpectedly as he drops down on the ground next to me and pulls me into his arms holding me gently.

     "We'll find him,  Alana. Jjst take deep breaths." He whispers soothingly as he carreses my hair and I bury my face into his shirt as I try to muffle my sobs. We sit like this for what seems like forever until Jason shakes me. "Alana look, is that Jax?" He asks me and I look up and my heart skips a beat as my dog runs towards me , I push myself up and take off running to meet him in the middle.

    This time when I fall to the ground crying it's out of pure joy and I hug Jax tightly as he licks my face giving me doggy kisses. Jason stands back and watches patiently as I talk to Jax. "We found a good warm place, and you get to come with me." Jax tilts his head and then starts panting as we walk back to the wagon.

     Jason follows soon after and climbs inside with me and Jax. Usually Jax would growl at anyone who seemed to be a threat but he just laid his head in my lap and dozed off as I pet him. Jason smiles at me and sighs. "It's getting dark and I can run my errands later, lets get you home to get some rest." I nod in response and we head back towards the castle.
