*Avery's POV*
At last 2:30 hit and I finally got out of school.
I got my skateboard out my locker and walked out the building.
"AVERY!" Someone screams my name and I look around and I see Emma running towards me.
"Hey Em." I say when she reaches me.
"You wanna go get some ice-cream? The weather's perfect today." Em asks me and I think about it.
Well, I have alot of homework, but I look at Em and the hope in her eyes. I haven't exactly been a really good friend lately.
"Why the hell not?" I say and Em squeals.

"Hey guys! Over here!" Em says.
I turn around and see the squad. And then I see him. Fucking Josh.
"Emma! Why didn't you tell me Josh was coming?!" I quietly demand.
"I didn't know! I only invited the squad. I guess Marco invited him." Emma says sincerly.
I sigh and stab my chocolate-chip cookie dough with my spoon.
"Be nice." Emma whisphers and I look at her.
"Fine. But you owe me a scoop of chocolate-chip mint." I tell her and she laughs.
"WASS UP!!" Ryder exclaims when he gets to us.
"Nothing." Emma and I say in usion.
"That reminds me! I needa take some Snapchat's, okay?!" Brittney exclaims.
We all laugh and Josh looks uncomfortable.
I smirk to myself and Marco starts telling Josh about this being the best ice-cream place in town.
"Marco! It's just a Dairy Queen!" Emma says and I smile.
It always seemed as if me and Emma had twin telepthy.
"Hey Emma. Avery." Josh says as he sits down next to me.
I roll my eyes and start to talk to the girls.
"Hey Avery!" One of the guys call.
"What?" I ask cautionly.
"Josh says your cute." Ryder says and I burst out laughing.
"Seriously? What is this? 5th grade?! Ha, you funny!" I say and Emma bursts out laughing.
And then, we got kicked out Dairy Queen.
