A Prompt That's not Really a Prompt

What to write, when you have no idea what to write? You can make a diary entry while you’re at it. Dear diary: I don’t know what to write. Or maybe list off some song lyrics. This season brings darkness so profound / I’ve become lost and can’t seem to be found / Contorted, racked with pain / I know should feel free, yet I continue to sing this sad refrain / I can’t sleep and food has lost its taste / God, I’m so sick of this place. Lovely. Yes, that’s a good time filler.

Or maybe you could force something into a super deep metaphor. Like people and those two-in-one desk table things. We are sat upon, mistreated, scarred, moved about, and kept in a community. Done. Or describe some random person — we all know it’d be the person you like because it’s the first person that comes to mind. Or maybe a friend. Yeah, let’s go with friend. Red hair. Brown eyes. Done…

What to write, when you have no idea what to write… Let’s write a will. If death were oh say, two hours away, what would be in your will? Would I be in it? If not, why? If I would be, what would you give me? Even if it’s something good, I would rather you not die. And for the record: I deserve your Netflix account.
