[ Kaleb begins the back and forth conversation ]

“What is this place?”

“You don’t get to know.”

“Well, I’ve been kidnaped and brought here to this unknown place against my will. I think I deserve to know where I am.”

“You still aren’t to be told unless I’m told to tell you what you want to be told.”

“… That was unnecessary.”

“You being here is unnecessary as it is.”

“If I don’t need to be here, then—”

“You’re here because we felt you would be a good addition.”

“Addition? Addition to what?”

“That’s classified.”

“Why can’t I be told?!”

“As I said — waiting for the signal.”

“Well, what’s the signal?”

“That’s also class— actually, it just came in. It’s just a small beep through my earpiece.”

“Well, now that you’ve got the ‘signal,’ can you tell me where I am…?”

“Of course. This is an underground base known as the FCAF: Fighting for Color and Freedom.”

“Why would I want to join?”

“We’ve been watching you—”

“That’s not creepy at all…”

“— and we feel as if you would fit right into our rebellion against Felix Yobondy.”

“The president?! No way that’s gonna happen! We’ll all get killed!”

‘Not entirely.”

“Okay well a lot of people are going to die!”

“Maybe, but it’s worth the shot.”

“Since when is killing people ‘worth a shot’?!”

“Haven’t you been paying attention in history class?”

“W-what?”

“Every good thing in the end is almost always started by a rebellion. Some small force that grows and pushes out the larger force that no one wants. Isn’t that what you want? To stop all these laborious works and… live?”

“…”

“That’s what the others never say.”

“Huh?”

“Tatiana, we’ve got a good one.”
