Air Force One
The identical coffins lay on the bed in the private rooms of Air Force One. Lyndon had been sworn in, just after Bobby had came aboard
When they were in the air, after discussing and finalising the funeral plans, Lyndon spoke with Bobby.
"Bobby, listen I know we haven't always been best of friends but I want to speak to you about something" Lyndon insisted the Attorney General to listen to him. Bobby nodded. "Yeah" he quivered. "Yeah anything".
"Will you adopt Caroline and John?" Lyndon got it out. Bobby was stunned! "Adopt my own niece and nephew?" Bobby stammered. Lyndon nodded. "They have no one else".
Bobby thought before he nodded. "I'll do it. But only for my brother" Bobby explained. "But promise me you'll constantly talk about their parents. They must never forget them!". Bobby understood.
He did it, for not just his late relatives but for his niece and nephew too.
