Crunch. Giggle. Crunch. Yell. Crunch. Coo.
That's pretty much the only noises coming from Ellie and I as we sit watching Romantic Comedies. Right now we're watching '10 Things I Hate About You', the scene where Patrick, also known as Heath Ledger; rest in peace, is serenading Kat with the song 'Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You'. It's so adorable! This movie is in my top ten of all time.
"How is he so hot but so dead?" Ellie mumbles sadly, turning to me with her hand buried inside her bag of Sour Cream and Chives flavoured potato chips. Her vibrant red hair is pulled back into a messy bun and it astounds me how great a messy bun looks on her. My dull brown hair is in a bun too but I can't manage to pull it off as well as her.
I just look like a homeless person who misplaced a bird's nest.
"Ellie, you realise you're being insensitive, right?" I laugh, knowing she meant well. Her chestnut eyes widen slightly before they light up.
"Oops, it's a compliment though!" She defends, putting her hands up before pausing the film. "So," Dragging out the 'o', she comes to sit closer to me, "How's life been since I saw you last, chica?"
Fidgeting, I smile nervously, "I just saw you not even a month ago, Ellie."
"Only because we bumped into each other at Starbucks! I feel like we haven't had a proper catch up in ages since we've both been so busy with our studies and jobs."
When my phone makes a noise that indicates I've received a text, Ellie raises her eyebrow at me as I quickly grab my phone.

Hey Mace 😊 I have a quick question about tomorrow night! I forgot to ask earlier haha
I think the smile on my face gives me away because all of a sudden, my phone is taken out of my hand. At first I'm taken aback as I stare at my now empty hands, until I glare up at my so-called best friend.
"Hmm, who's messaging you, Massima?" Ellie smirks, turning my phone around.
"Ay dios mío! who is Ollie?"
