"Yeah, sorry I didn't reply, I was on the phone with my sister."
"That's alright, how is she?"
"She claims everything is fine but I still worry anyways."
"That's understandable, you're her older brother, of course you're going to worry."
"I might go visit tomorrow."
"Let me know how it goes! Will you be back for my party on Saturday?"
"Definitely. I'll only stay the night so that I'll make it back here in time."
"Awesome," I smile, "Have you heard from Bianca since you shut her down?"
"No, I heard from my mate that she's already dating someone else. Of course."
Ollie chuckles and I can only imagine the eye roll he probably did, "Poor dude."
"Yeah. How's your dad?"
My fingers instantly start fidgeting, "He's... alright, I guess? He's as good as he can be right now."
"Is he doing chemo?"
"Yeah but I doubt it'll help. The saddest part is that he's not himself anymore."
"I'm sorry, Mace, I can't imagine what you're going through."
"I gotta go." I say quickly, knowing that any minute I was going to burst into tears, "Bye, Ollie."
