Kate’s POV:

By the time McClane made it back to the room I’d already cried my eyes out in the shower, washed away the evidence and reapplied my basic make-up giving me a somewhat normal appearance. My eyes were still red but if he asked I would blame it on allergies. I lie in bed pretending to watch television when he walked through the door with a noticeable pep in his step.

“I’m guessing from the huge grin on your face everything went good.” I said muting the television. Plopping down at the end of the bed McClane fell back and covered his face. Suddenly he screamed and started to stump his feet on the floor.

“I don’t know what to do now.” He said through his fingers. Rolling over he looked at me with his incredibly sexy eyes before sighing.

“What do you mean?” I asked. Pushing off the bed McClane started to strip off his jacket and shirt while kicking off his shoes. I had to bite my tongue to keep myself from drooling. Grabbing the remote I busied my fingers and eyes with finding something else to watch.

“We’re gonna try. Tonight was the last night he would have off base. He won’t have another chance to get off base for another three weeks. We made plans to go out… on a real date… I’ve… I’ve never been on a real date. I have no idea on what to do and… I want this to go well.” He said tossing his shirt into the dirty clothes pile beside our luggage. Turning to me he frowned a bit biting his lip. I sat there trying to keep my eyes on his face when he motioned for me to speak.

                “What?” I asked confused.

“I need your help.” He said as if I should already know what he needs.

“My help?” Nodding he took as seat across from me on his bed.

“I need your help planning a proper date.” He said. Shaking my head I went back to focusing on the television.

“I can’t.” I said unmuting the sound. Looking to the television McClane stood and snatched the remote from my hand. Turning the television off he tossed the remote over his shoulder.

“What the fuck McClane?!” I said standing to retrieve the remote. I was about to pass him when he grabbed my shoulders.

“Your eyes are red and swollen a bit. Your nose looks raw like you’ve been blowing it constantly and your voice sounds hoarse.” He said. Swallowing hard I tried to shake off his hands but instead he tightened his hold on me.

“Allergies.” I mumbled trying once again to step aside. Instead of letting me go he pushed me back onto my bed.

“Liar. You’ve been crying. Why?” He said. I had no intentions of spilling my guts to McClane Crawford. There was no way in hell I was going to revert back to Krazy Katlin. I’d come too far to backslide.

“It’s nothing McClane. Just drop it.” I said turning away from him. He stood in front of me, hands on his lean muscular hips staring at me while I tried my best to ignore him.

“I’m not leaving you alone until you spill it.” He said after five minutes silence. I couldn’t stop the words from tumbling out my mouth. Once they’d started there was no stopping them.

“Why can’t you just leave this alone? I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t want to share my feelings. I don’t want to get into how shitty I feel right now and I don’t want to hear about how fucking happy you are!” I shouted climbing over the bed. Stuffing my feet into my shoes I searched for my purse. I needed to get out there.
