Just a quick note to let you know I will be there at the concert. The kids are staying at some friends' houses, so I won't have to worry about being home in time for the babysitter.
You didn't offend me with your thoughts about sharing my grief with the kids, you actually made me think about it and I guess you're right. We had a talk about it a few weeks ago, why I needed some time alone that weekend, and it was actually good to share it with them. And to have them share their sadness with me. Because you were right, I don't want to become like my dad when it comes to talking about feelings. So thank you, for opening my eyes.
I guess the next time we talk will be after your concert next Saturday. I'm really looking forward to it, and not only to finally hear you play live.
