Chapter 6

"HEY!" I shouted trying to get Adrian's attention. I was beyond mad, I hadn't gotten any sleep thanks to him calling me Cinderella right before he hung up the phone. I mean who does that, who calls someone Cinderella after only knowing them a day. Also, was he making fun of me because he knows about my messages to Prince Charming? Ugh... This is so freaking frustrating. "HEY ADRIAN!" I yelled again. You could tell I was angry by the tone of my voice and I already had everyone in the halls staring.

Adrian finally turned around and gave me a shocked expression. "Elle, whats the matter? Why are you yelling at me." he said.

I came up to him and shoved him in the shoulder before saying. "What was that last night? Why did you call me freaking Cinderella before you hung up." I was still yelling, and we had gathered a crowd. Everyone was circled around us waiting to see what I would do to the new kid.

"Elle...." he stammered for the right answer. "Elle I meant nothing by it, I don't even know why I did it..... It kind of just came out. I mean your name could be lengthened to Cinderella." he said totally making up excuses.

"I don't believe that for one minute! What do you find it fun to make the nerd of the school like you and then make fun of them?" I said my voice rising even more. The more I got off my chest the angrier I became, I don't think I have ever been this mad before.

"No Elle I swear, I would never make fun of you ever!" he said putting his hand on my shoulder trying to reassure me.

I shrugged it off and took a few deep breaths to try to calm my anger. "Then why did you do it? We have only known each other for a day. So please elaborate why you would call someone you just met not even twenty-four hours before Cinderella?" I said lowering my voice into a whisper so our crowd couldn't hear what I was saying.

"I told you Elle, I really don't know why I did it. It just slipped out I swear, I seriously would never purposely upset you, and I'm so sorry that I did. I swear I'll make it up to you." he said putting his hand back on my shoulder. This time I couldn't help the sparks that shot through my arms from his touch. My cheeks instantly turned pink with blush. "Elle, I really am sorry let me make it up to you?" he said again.

"What do you mean make it up to me?" I asked clearly not knowing where this argument was going.

"Just let me take you out to dinner tonight, just the two of us. Then maybe we could catch a movie after that?" he said looking down at the ground. He had his hands together and really looked like a little boy who had just gotten in loads of trouble.

I didn't know what I should say. If I go on a date with him would that be like cheating on Prince Charming? Were Prince Charming and I even together? I didn't know how to respond so I did the only thing that I could do and not get into trouble. "Okay, i'll go with you but just as friends and nothing more."

I could hear all of the groans from the other students clearly upset that there wasn't a fight. Really, is that all they are worried about. "That's fine Elle, as long as I can make it up to you. I'll pick you up around five?" Adrian asked.

"Yeah that's fine, now lets head to Trig before were late." I said while linking my arm in his and pulling him towards the classroom.

Trig was super slow, I thought that it would never end. I'm pretty sure Adrian was thinking the same thing because he kept turning around and rolling his eyes every time the teacher looked away. I couldn't help but think about how cute he was. With his slightly unkept dark brown hair, and his muscular arms. The shirt he was wearing today fit him perfectly, it was one of those dark blue Hollister shirts with the signature bird on the front.

I couldn't help but want to stare at him, I know that I had promised Cameron that I accepted his challenge but that doesn't mean that i'm not aloud to look right?

The bell finally rang ending Trigonometry and Adrian turned in his chair. "Hey you want to walk College Prep together?" he asked.

"Yea, sure. I'm sure Ryan will meet up with us along the way, he usually does." I said trying to keep the conversation going.

We walked out of the classroom and started heading to the next class. "Listen Elle, I really am sorry about last night I didn't mean anything by it." He said.

"No, it's fine I'm over it already. I was mostly angry because I couldn't get any sleep last night after you told me and now its been like three days since i've had sleep." I said giving him my most sincere smile.

We walked into College Prep and sat at our assigned seats. I turned on my computer and immediately went to my email. It was becoming a habit in this class.

Sure enough when I opened my account there was a message from Cameron.

Dear Cinderella,

How has your day been going so far? I hope you got a better nights sleep last night, You signed off pretty quickly, before I could even say goodbye so I wanted to make sure I hadn't made you mad for any reason at all? I assure you that I am still not positive as to which person you actually are. I do enjoy talking to you on here and if I scared you in any way I do apologize. So on to other subjects, like you giving me hints lol..... I for one got no sleep last night, I couldn't sleep not knowing if I had made you mad..... So that's two nights that I have been with out rest Princess you are really wearing me down here. I won't be able to instant message you tonight because I have some meetings to attend. My father tried to do away with all of my activities but some he can't get rid of.... So if you could sign on early Friday morning I promise we can chat then. I look forward to talking to you and will be impatiently waiting.

Prince Charming (Cameron)After reading the email I couldn't help but smile, he really thought that he had made me mad? I was just ready to get off the Internet, that was all? But I did get off without saying goodbye. I needed to make a note to tell him bye whenever we chatted. I mean he was taking a chance with me, he already knows i'm a nerd and is willing to still talk to me so for that he gets a gold star in my book. I decided I would send him a quick email back.

Dear Cameron,

I assure you that I wasn't mad, I'm just not used to having to say goodbye to someone when chatting online. I promise in our future chats I will always tell you goodbye =). My day is going great by the way thanks for asking. I did yell at the new kid though this morning, I really thought he was making fun of me. I mean last night he called me after I was done chatting with you and before he hung up he said Goodbye Cinderella. Needless to say once again I got absolutely no sleep so i'm one up on you that's three nights lack of sleep. Tonight I have a feeling i'm going to crash into my pillow and not wake up until dawn. This new kid is very nice though to make up for it he is going to take me out to dinner and a movie but I swear it's not a date, just two friends hanging out. I hope all of your meetings go well, and of course i'll be on in the morning.

I leaned over my computer to see Adrian staring at me, he had a huge grin on his face. "What are you staring at?" I asked completely dumbfounded.

"I was just thinking." he responded still smiling.

"About what?" I questioned. This kid made me nervous sometimes.

"You, and where i'm taking you to dinner." he said. He wiggled his eyebrows at me and chuckled.

"Well, my favorite place here in town is a little burger joint downtown. You would be doing good if you took me there." I said hinting that I really wanted to eat there. Hopefully he got it.

"Hmm, i'm pretty sure that can be arranged." he said right before the teacher walked in.

"Shh class, I want you to work on your stories today. I know there are a few of you in here who haven't even started." Mrs.  said.

With that I pulled out my notebook and started typing what I had already wrote last night.

ALRIGHT GUYS AND GIRLS, I WENT AHEAD AND GAVE INTO YOU ON THE LAST CHAPTER BUT THIS TIME I WON'T.
