(Anne's POV)
I awaken to the crow of the rooster outside, jump out of bed and get dressed for school. I run downstairs and greet Marilla "good morning Marilla!" I say as I sit at the table, Marilla brings me my breakfast and I eat quickly. I kiss her on the cheek and run out the door towards the barn. "Good morning Mathew!" I say as I kiss him on the cheek too. "Good morning Jerry!" I wave. "Someone's in a good mood today..." I hear jerry remark as I run out of the barn. I wait at the barry's gate to meet up with Diana. After a few minutes, she appears and runs up to me. We start walking to the Gillis household and while we wait for ruby to show I remind Diana "remember, not a word of what happened on Friday". Di smiled "of course" she reassured me. Ruby saw us from her door and ran up to greet us. "ANNE! DIANA!" she shouts. We then walk to school together and manage to sit down just before the bell rings. Miss Stacy hasn't come in yet so I reach into my desk to grab a book, specifically JANE EYRE, she's so amazing and wonderful that's why she's my favorite author. I turn to my favorite page and a paper falls out. I wonder what's in it. I never placed a paper there. Diana noticed the paper and nudged me, "quick! I wanna see what it says!" She whisper shouted. I open it an began to read. So quiet only me and di would be able to hear " Thy hair as r'd as a did rise, although a did rise's beauty doest not compareth
thy eyes as blue as the flote although mine own longing f'r thee is much most wondrous'r
thy smileth as bright as the travelling lamp although at which hour i behold at thee im blind'd by nothing else but mine own loveth f'r thee
thy freckles as p'rfect as constellations although i wouldst nev'r tireth of looking at thee.
yo as imp'rtant as the oxygen I breatheth although I couldst nev'r survive without thee "I turn to di blushing. She looked confused. "I did not understand a single word that was in that note" she whispers. " Your hair as red as a rose, although a rose's beauty does not compare
Your eyes as blue as the sea although my longing for you is much greater
Your smile as bright as the sun although when i look at you im blinded by nothing else but my love for you
Your freckles as perfect as constellations although i would never tire of looking at you.
You as important as the oxygen I breathe although I could never survive without you ." I whisper translating. I blush even more.

(Gilbert's POV)
I look over at Anne she is redder than I was after she kissed me on the cheek on Friday. Diana looked over to me with a knowing glance. I quickly looked away knowing that it was too late, I had been caught. At least Anne didn't know yet. Throughout the class, I glance over at Anne every other second she looks down at her lap where she had placed the note. I beam knowing that she loved my poem. Im glad about how ms.stacy was just reviewing for the entire day or Anne probably would've been mad that she had been distracted. After ms.stacy dismissed us I walked over to Anne and Diana. "H-hey Anne, hi Diana." I managed to barely blurt out.  "Hi, Gilbert," Diana said knowingly. She then tapped on Anne's shoulder. Anne had still been looking at the note someone had left for her. Of course, it was me but she didn't know that... yet Anne turned to Diana "wha-" she then wrapped her head around toward me. "Oh, hi Gilbert!" Anne said enthusiastically and gave me a kind smile. "Someone's in a good mood today... " I beam. "Y-yeah, I found something on my desk..." she blushed. But not at me, at the note. "Hey, so im lodging in your house tonight because Marry and bash wanted the house to themselves, can I walk with you guys?" I asked trying to hide my glee. Bash had told me that this was going to happen after he found out about my poem. Of course, I was to be sleeping in a guest room far from Anne. But under the same roof ain't so bad! ;). "Yeah sure," Anne said still distracted. As we walked side by side I turned to Anne "what's that say?" I pretended not to know already. "N-nothing its just a note" Anne blurted out. "Okay Shirley, try not to run into a tree..." I responded. As we got to green gables I opened the gate as Anne walked past, if it wasn't for my note she might've been kinda agitated. I ran ahead of her and managed to open both of the friend doors as well. Anne finally looked up.
"Thanks, gil," she said putting the note in her pocket before Marilla saw.

(Anne's POV)
Finally, I walked into my room and closed the door behind me. I let myself imagine about who could've placed that note in my desk, it obviously wasn't billy because he had terrible writing and not to mention hated me. It could've been moody because he would've accidentally ruined the secret by now, I already ruled out the younger kids in the school house, it couldn't have been Charlie because he had eyes only for Diana. It couldn't have been any of the girls because none of them knew Shakespearean, of course, it wasn't cole he would've just drawn her a picture, he wasn't even in Avonlea plus, he was gay and the note was romantic, not paternal. That left a very small Group of boys left. It consisted of some of Billy's goons, and one person I knew personally, Gilbert. I blushed at the thought as Marilla called me down to set the table for supper. It couldn't have been Gilbert. Could it?
