Unrealistic Career Choices

I'm only doing this rant out of worry. Some of my friends... I don't want them to end up on hardcore drugs, or in poverty. I want them to succeed.

But let's get real, don't have all your career choices be things that you have a slim shot of making.

You want to be an actress. Woo, you go girl. I support you. But what's your back-up plan?

"My what? Oh no, I don't need one. I know I'll be an actress."

Please, I love you. Have a backup plan.

"Okay, I'll be a singer."

... Okay... Plan C?

"Interior designer?"

Plan D

"What? You think I'm not creative enough?"

No, I think the world is a harsh place, especially on those who rely on their talent to move along. Babe, I care deeply about you. Please, I don't want to have to support you because you can't be practical.

You're creative? Be an engineer with me. It's practical (I think, correct me if I'm wrong), pays well, and it can be fun.

And yeah, I'd love to be a writer, but how many great writers actually went to school to learn how to write? No, Veronica Roth doesn't count, she's shite.

Goodnight. :-]
