Three years later...

"Finn, can you come downstairs please?" His mother shouts from the kitchen, downstairs

He groaned loudly as he turned in his sleep, trying to cover his ears because of his mother's devilish screeching from downstairs

His head still hurt from when his dad smacked him just hours ago because he was trying to defend his mother.

Flashback

"Mary I'm going to fucking kill you, you fucking whore!" His father shouts, slurring each words that came out of his mouth. He was clearly tipsy and was clearly about to beat his wife.

"Dad Stop! Moms not a fucking whore! Calm down!" Finn shouted, standing in front of his mother to shield her from his father.

His father growled drunkenly, a permanent scowl presented on his vicious looking face.

"Listen here boy, you don't tell me what to think! You're mom is a whore and you are a fucking mistake!" His father bawled his first and launched at the poor seventeen-year-old boy's head, making him slightly Yelp in pain. He raised his palm over the surely cut bruise at the back of his head, he groaned in displeasure, but he still didn't stop defending his mother

"You can hurt me, just don't hurt her!" Finn begs

"Get out of here!" His father shouted, grabbing him by the shirt and throwing him on the floor

"No." Finn whispered standing up

"What did you say?" His father growled

"I said NO!" Finn shouted, standing in front of his mother once more.

"Fuck you, both of you!" His father shouted viciously, walking to the front door and slamming it behind him

"Finn, honey I'm so sorry." His mother embraced him, whispering comforting words as tears cascaded down both of their cheeks

"It's okay mom." He replied before walking upstairs, his head held low.

Flashback over

The boy walked down the stairs sheepishly incase his father was present, he knew he would be beat badly by him. Lucky for him he wasn't

"Yes mom?" Finn asks in a husky voice, he had been sleeping ever since his father hit him, it really made him unconscious, he still wasn't too sure if he was dreaming or not

He rubbed his eyes and saw four suitcases layed out on the kitchen table, he was in utter confusion

"We are moving away from here." His mother smiles as he too finds him smiling, "without your father." She continues making Finn sweep her in a hug. He's happy he's escaping that pathetic excuse of a human, but more importantly he's happy his mom won't have to deal with him anymore

Finn was a very kind, caring person. He always put a persons needs before his own.

"But where?" He asks

"This place called Hawkins, it's in Indiana. Anyway I bought a house and it's actually big, I already applied for a job, remember when I flew out out that weekend?" She asks getting a nod in response, "Well I asked for a job at the hospital over there and they gave me it, in the neurology ward." She smiles, tears of joy streaming out of her eyes

"I've packed everything, you just need your guitar and all of that. The house is already furnished so we don't need to buy anything else." She smiles as Finn grins, running up the stairs to his room to put his guitar in his guitar case, and he can't forget his round, hardly potter spectacles.

The words Hawkins, Indiana seem so familiar to him and he has no clue why. Why did this place seem important already? He doesn't know, it's like it's on the tip of his tongue but he just can't get it right.

He walked downstairs his guitar in hand, his mother was waiting by the door for him to come. He stood still for a second, taking in his surroundings, the ripped uncomfortable couch that used to be perfect and comfortable, the wine stains on the carpet that used to be white and pure, the beer bottles that clouded the bookcase that used to be full with children's books that was read to him as a child, the room that was filled with silence that once used to be filled with laughs and giggles and smiles

What happened?

He has no idea. He walks over to the front door with his two suitcases that were packed specially for him, his guitar case strung over his back. He took a deep breath in as he looked one last time at the silent house. Even though his dad was an asshole, even though he was a horrible man Finn still held a special place for the man that was once the worlds best dad. He closed his eyes as he slammed the door shut, an uber outside the house ready to pick them up and drive them to the airport

-

They had just arrived at the new house in Hawkins and it was quite huge, his mother could afford it easily as she was a neurosurgeon , his father always took away the opportunity for her to use her full capability but that life was left Behind back in Vancouver.

"Woah." He mutters in awe at the large house. He brought his heavy belongings into the already furnished house. It was massive, it could easily be the biggest house he's ever seen.

He ran upstairs with all his baggage without any struggle, the boy was quite lean and muscular yet slim at the same time. He had long ebony curls and sharp cheekbones and a refined jawline. Deep brown eyes that could kill with a look. Freckles that where sprinkled across the bridge of his nose.

Let's put it into simple words.

He was handsome, very handsome.

"Finn I enrolled you in Hawkins HighSchool, so you're starting tomorrow!" His mother shouted from downstairs

Ugh school, he truly forgot it existed. It was the first day back at school for everybody tomorrow. He was dreading it. School life for Finn was ok, he got made fun of for no reason but he had a few friends. The only ever real friend he had was a girl called Millie.

Millie.

It was the first time he had thought about her in three years. She was so kind to him, and amazing and cool and funny and happy and...

Gorgeous.

Thinking back to it now she was the most gorgeous girl he had ever seen, his dumb fourteen-year-old self didn't really take full account of it at the time. He wished he could be in a school with Millie so he could see her again, and be friends with her. She really just made him have the biggest smile in his face remembering her, she was so amazing.

What Finn didn't know was that tomorrow that wish would come true
