Fallen Forms

Part 16

-Alex's P.O.V-

I walk down the hall into the bathroom and stare at myself in the mirror. I look at my hair, it's almost to my waist. I grew it out because when I was little some girl in my school said I would look good. I look at my arms, all of my scars, cuts and bruises I hid for so long are now just out in the open. Finally, I look at my face, this whole entire time I've been smiling. My natural instinct is to smile and say I'm ok. I would go to school smiling and laughing at my friends terrible jokes. I would pretend to look sympathetic for them when they complained that their parents wouldn't get them a new bag or something. I had to be strong. My smile slowly fades away, it feels weird to have a straight face but I like it. I look at my hair again, I look through the cabinets for a pair of scissors. I find some, decide what length I want and close me eyes, I cut it off in one cut. It's all gone. I look at myself in the mirror, new short hair with no smile plastered on my face. Satisfied with my work, I clean up the hair and walk back down the hallway.

-Jesse's P.O.V-

I wake up with Alex standing over me.
"Jesse!" She says pulling me into a hug, "I thought I..." She stops talking and just continues to hug me
"You can't get rid of me that fast." I say, "Plus I made a promise." We pull apart
"Don't scare me like that!" She says jokingly
"You cut your hair." I say, "You look better with short hair."
"I did, thanks." She says, I notice she smiling, but not in the way she did before. Before he smile was big and forced, now it's natural. She was cut free from her demons.
"Jesse!" Ari says running to hug me
"Ok, I missed you too, but you just hugged me where I got hit by a Phantom beam so..." She pulls away
"Sorry." She apologizes
"It's fine." I say
"You cut your hair!" She says looking at Alex, "I looks so good!"
"Did I hear someone cut their hair?" Lauren asks popping her head in, "Hey Jesse."
"Hey." I say
"It looks good!" Lauren says, he orb looking at her impatiently
"Welcome to the short hair group!" Bella says walking into the station, "I heard Jesse was awake."
"Hey." I say proving that she heard correctly
"Hey, how's the place you got hit? Still hurt?" She asks
"Only a little bit." I say

-Lizzie's P.O.V-

"Hey." I say walking into the hospital station
"Hey." Alex and Jesse say in unison
"Were you asleep?" Ari asks
"I had a cat nap." I joke
"Oh my god Lizzie." Ari says not amused
"Does anyone know the date?" Shelby asks
"It's October 3rd." Lauren says looking at her orb
"Oh hey, Ovi's birthday was two days ago." Bella says
"Why didn't you tell us?!" I ask, "We could've thrown you a party."
"I don't like celebrating my birthday, I like laid back, hanging out days." She says
"Our birthday is tomorrow!" Jay says excited, Alex looks down, her smile disappears.
"You and Alex have the same birthday?" I ask
"Yeah, just two years apart." Jay says
"Fancy." I say

-Ari's P.O.V-

I wake up and remember it's Alex's birthday, I walk into her room quietly hoping to surprise her. She's nowhere to be seen.
"Alex?" I ask, I hear a small squeak from her closet, I open her closet door, "Alex!"
"Heeey..." She says, she's curled up in a ball on the floor, I sit down next to her
"Are you ok?" I ask
"Yeah, I'm fine." She says, I know she's lying but I let it go
"Do you want me do go?" I ask, she nods, I get up to leave
"Wait!" She grabs my wrist, I flinch a little but she notices, "Ari?"
"Yes?" I ask knowing what's coming
"Ari?" She repeats, "Ari, what did you do?!"
"I'm sorry." I say quietly, I turn and run, I run down the stairs and out the door
"Ari!" I hear her call behind me, "Arianna!" I run into the woods

-Yammy's P.O.V-

Alex chases Ari down the stairs, she runs out the door, Alex goes to follow her but Jay holds her back.
"Alex." He says trying to calm her down
"We have to go find her!" She says trying to escape
"We will, we just need a-"
"Don't you understand?!" She explodes, "Ari isn't in a good state mentality or physically to be lost in the woods!"
"Do you mean..." He trails off, Alex nods
"We have to find her." She says
"Can someone explain what's happening?" Joey asks
"Ari's demon is herself." Alex says, Shelby, Bella and Ovi get it.
"Translation?" I ask still confused
"Ari is depressed," She starts to explain, "Every once in a while it gets really bad. It's get to a point where it's so bad she..."
"She hurts and starves herself." Jay finishes, "It only lasts for a couple weeks at a time, but it's still bad."
"So what you're saying is Ari is hurt and weak in the woods?" Lizzie says, Jay nods
"This is not good." I say, "This is the opposite of good."
"Thanks Captain Obvious." Joey says
"Guys, we have to go, like now." Alex says urgently
"I can look on my cloud." Scott says
"The rest of us can looks as animals." Ovi says, "Our senses are increased so we'd be able to find her faster." We all head outside in small groups, Shelby and Lauren, Ari and Jay, Lizzie and Joel, Meghan, Oli, H and Will, Callum and Stacy, Ovi and Bella, Scott in his cloud and Joey and me.
"If anyone finds anything, run back here and call us on your orbs." Bella says, we all run into the woods.
