What is it about you
that captivates my eyes,
my thoughts,
and my dreams?

You're nothing special;
You don't look special:
You don't do anything special;
You don't have anything special;

Is it by these simplicities
that you embody beauty?
Is it by these trivialities
that you compel me?

You're snideful;
You're derisive;
You're appalling;
You're disparaging;

Is it by these negativities
that attract me to you?
Is it by these imposive
attitude that I like you?

But come to think of it,
if I think critically,
and rightfully so,
you're more than those adjectives!

You're smart!
You're witty!
You're perspicacious!
You're hopeful!

Lo, you shine bright
like a sunrise at bay,
And when you set,
sorrow fills me for I'll miss you.

I wish we never have to disappear;
I wish for us to never separate.
But I'll be wishing on shooting stars,
and hoping on pure coincidence.

So, instead of suffocating inside,
I chose to cease the hurt,
and start recovering,
and I leave with you this last poem,

goodbye
