Camouflage

You've learned too much
Before you needed to,
Now you spite the world
For its cruelty and atrocity,

Death is too swift and abrupt
You want suffering and pain,
So you turned to blades
Until they rusted with blood,

Even if I tried I couldn't
Understand what you're going through,
How the brightest dandelion
Had wilted brown, scattering to the wind,

Your thoughts are as ambiguous
As the sweet summer rain,
And the only thing I'm ever sure of
Is how silently you cry,

You camoflauge your tears
So no one could ever see them,
But I know fragments of truth
And I learned to see through you deeper,

You're looking out for angels
Cause you need a light to guide you,
But I'm already right here, my friend
We'll fix your life together,

The lines running on your wrists
You think they know better,
Don't be imprisoned by relief
Cause later on, pain would re-appear,

Fight against the impulse
Cause life is too precious,
You are too precious
For the winter snow to smother,

And so you camoflauge your tears
Acting like your tougher, you can do better,
But I know how you're struggling
To resist using the razors,

Stop looking out for angels
Cause there's always a light to guide you,
I promised you, my friend, we'll get through this
And we'll fix your life together,

Slowly, you'll mend right back,
Your heart will find its missing piece,
And your soul filled with purpose,
Soon, that gorgeous face would smile,

You'll be free from antagony,
And all forms of scrutiny,
Cause then you'd know better,
I'll watch you, butterfly, your wings you'll soon flutter,

You won't ever have to camoflauge your tears again
Cause I'll always try to understand you,
You'll find the one that'll complete your world
And you'll open up your heart to his universe,

You've already found your angel
But angels don't last too long,
I'll have to say goodbye someday
But not until we fix your life together.
