Your eyes so soft
that I fawn in aggravation.
My eyes so vivid
that you swoon in fascination.

Your smile so endearing
that I break the fourth wall.
My smile so poignant
that you yearn to fix me like a doll.

Your heart and mine are
so alike--made of Porcelain.
We're careful to love
so as not to fall in vain.

Yet like all things beautiful,
all things will wither.
Like all things we loved
all to dust we transfigure.

Your time and mine
don't abide.
My dreams and yours
don't coincide.

YOUR hands and mine
don't intertwine.
MY thoughts and yours
don't incline.

Your body so far
and so distant from me.
My body so far
and so distant from thee.

Your sadness too emphatic
that you weep each night.
My sadness too overwhelming
that I would die--I fear I might.

We both have porcelain hearts
we can't hold up high without it cracking.
You and I were scared of heartbreak
that it led to our porcelain hearts shattering.
