She hunts the stars in her sky
Killing each one without thought
For each one was a dream to her
A fragment of her love for him
He was her sky
She looked up and only
Saw his eyes staring at her
Never seeing the pools
Of darkness that made the night
Residing in them
Cutting the brightness out
With a passion
Stars exploding
Bursting with the pain
Of things not meant to be
Showing that an ending can be beautiful
Even as she had to rip herself from him
To save the little she had left
For she had shed so much to
Make his planets happy
When she didn't notice her own
Drifting into the poverty
Of a deserted life
and she knew she could never find what she had lost
