She was drunk in his love

Woozy in the lust for his soul

It was a hunger she had never felt

Hurting not just her stomach

But her heart as well

Like the butterflies were dying

And slowly being revived

Slaughtered when she saw him

Looking into the eyes of another

But with every silk touch they awakened

Wondering why they had cried in the first place

She ached to know the reasons why

The heart that broke her

She was hoping would rebuild her

Though her pieces were s ca tte red abroad

She wished he could collect them

Find them

See the brokenness and never wonder why

She would never be whole

It was an impossible feat

That even the greatest knight

Could never discover
