She was made of scars
So full of cracks that
You never knew where they started
And where they came to an end
She filled each one with gold
Hoping to hold the light in
To turn the darkness
To love
And give the world
A couple hugs
She saw the beauty of the world
Where others just saw hopeless souls
She carried so much pain on her
Crippled back
She hoped it wouldn't b-r-e-a-k her
With its weighted load
She saw the mountains she must climb
And what waited on the other side
Always coming to a halt
When she saw another hurting climber
And with her
She pulled them even higher
And tugged their load 'til it became lighter
