**Hayes' POV**

I woke up with a shooting pain in my shoulder, and looked at my surroundings.

A white room with a bunch of monitors, and the beepings of the heart monitor.

"Hayes?" Someone said, their voice cracked liked they've been crying for days.

I turned to see my mom and Morgan, they were both on my right side, both grasping my hand.

Then I remembered; Julie tried to kill me, yes kill me.

But that not the point. Why did she want to kill me? What was the point? What did I do.

Morgan walked on the other side and cupped my hand with hers.

"How long have I been out?" I whispered.

"Couple months..." Morgan said.

"Why does my arm still hurt?" I turned to my mom.

"The bullet is still in you. They couldn't dig too deep in the wound. It will stop hurting in a couple weeks once you're up." She said petting my hair.

"I should go, let you two talk. I'll text nash and Chad." My mom said, kissing my hand.

Morgans eyes, filled with tears came on the hospital bed, and cuddled my left side.

"I'm so sorry this happened," She cried.

I kissed her head.

"It's not you fault."

"But,"

I shushed her, putting my finger over her soft lips, and wiping the tears away.

"I love you, okay? So what happened to Julie anyways?" I asked, thanking the nurse as she brought me grapes and water.

"She.. Died."

"How?" I asked, popping another grape, seeming calm.

"S-she tried to kill me... Shoot me.. Whatever, so I kicked her knees allowing her to stumble back, and drop the gun. It was loaded so I pointed it to her head.."

I kissed her head, and she fell asleep.

"Thank you," I whispered.

A few moments later will and Taylor came in.

"Hey guys," I smiled

They smiled back and glared at Eachother, and walked away.

I squinted.

"What's going on with you two?" I laughed.

"Well..."
Will started.

"Hayes, buddy. I hate to break it to you... But we can't stay any longer. We were waiting for you to wake up..." Taylor cutter will off.

"But, we're split. Taylor is transferring to a different college, and we can't do it anymore.." Will finished.

"Wow."

"what?" Will asked.

"This is fucking great."

"Hayes, don't talk like that," Taylor said.

"Shut the hell up. You guys have been together since high school."

"Hayes don't speak to her like that."

"Stop, will." Taylor said.

"What?"

"acting like you care."
I rolled my eyes as Morgan sat up.

"What's going on?" She mumbled.

"Taylor and will are splitting...."

"What?"

"Yeah."

"I'm sorry bud," Taylor said.

"Me too." Will apologised.

They both walked out, as I kissed Morgan at the top of her head..
