Twenty seven

I was in shock, I couldn't get off the ground. I would've fallen again. My mum got up and started shouting at the nurses asking them what's going to happen to my dad. They all said that they don't have time, someone's life is on the line. Or something on those lines.

Skylar helped me out of Grayson's grip. I ran towards the room, the doctor was about to close it. I yanked at the doctors shirt asking him what's going to happen to my dad. He said that he doesn't have enough time to explain. And removed my hand and closed the door.

I turned around and saw that Skylar was comforting my mum and then I looked the direction Grayson was. He was walking down the hall towards the door. I ran towards him, I caught him just in time before he closed the car door.

'Let the door go Luna, this is my fault, I should've told you. Maybe you could've spent more time with him. Maybe even help him have a higher chance of living' he rambled

'None of this is your fault'

'I can't watch you get hurt anymore Lu'

'Your hurting me, leaving me in a situation like this!'

'I know, I'm sorry about this. But I don't want you to get seriously hurt, I don't even want it to get anywhere near dea-' he stops and gulps.

'I have to go' He says getting into the car, not waiting for me to answer. Ethan starts the engine and drove off.

Why is he doing this? What was he going to say? Death?

I didn't realize how long I have been standing in the middle of the road until a car honked at me.

'Sorry' I wave my hand and make my way back to my dads room.

I put my hands in my pockets and looked at the ground. I got to the room and sat down next to Skylar and I put my head on her shoulder

'What's wrong?' She says looking at me but still letting me put my head on her shoulder.

'Grayson said he didn't want to see me get hurt, and he didn't want to get it anywhere near death or something. He didn't finish the last bit, then he drove off with Ethan.' I say fiddling with my fingers

'Umm, I actually don't know what to say to be honest with you' she says

'I know, you don't have to say anything at all'

I take my head off of her shoulder and look her in the eyes

'I just want to know why he broke up with me all of a sudden. He was perfectly happy the day after he broke up with me' I say trying not to cry

'Hey, girl you gotta get over him sooner or later. We are going to go to a club, But this club is different. They allow people above 16. And we are 17 so'm she winks at me

'I'm in, but what do I say to my parents?'

'Say that your coming round mine and we are gonna go watch a movie. Come in a movie-ish outfit and thing change at mine, k?' She says proudly

'Haha okay' I giggle of how quickly she came up with that

'Be at mine at 7, so we have an hour to do our makeup etc'

'Okay, that a good plan' I say

'I know, it's made by me.' She flips her hair and winks

I giggle at her weirdness

Then, I snap back to reality and realized that my dads life is still at risk. I had this weird feeling in my stomach. I felt water rolling down my cheeks.

What if he doesn't make it?
