Vic's POV

I came home later than usual because I had to prepare for my lunch meeting tomorrow.

As soon as I opened our door Vik came running towards me I opened my arms and lifted him with one since my other hand was holding a box of doughnuts.

Vik attacked my face with kisses

Vik : " I missed you ma "

Going home to this is the best feeling ever. So Satisfying.

Vic : " here's your doughnuts as promised "

I happily said while handing him the box.

Vik : " thank you, ma "

He kissed my cheek on more time before letting me go.

Vic : " where's your mommy? "

Vik : " in the kitchen po, ma can I eat na?

He asked referring to the doughnuts

Vic : " nag dinner ka na ba? "

Vik : " yes po "

Vic : " sure but don't eat too much and don't forget to brush your teeth later "

Vik nodded at what I said as he excitedly tried to open the box of doughnuts

Manang Pileng : " hi Vic "

Vic : " hi po manang "

Manang Pileng : " medyo late ka ng uwe ngayon ha "

Vic : " may mga prinepare lang po"

Manang Pileng : " si Mika nasa kusina hindi pa nakain yun hinihintay ka "

Vic : " ganun po ba uhm si Kaira po? "

Manang Pileng : " maagang naka tulog "

Vic : " ahh sige po, nga pala manang uhm ano baka pwede po paki ayos ng kaunti yung guest room "

Manang Pileng : " bakit may matutulog ba dun? "

Vic : " a- "

I realize that Vik was listening so I stopped myself from answering

Vic : " ano po uhm sila Kuya baka po pumunta dito sa sabado "

Manang Pileng : " sige simulan ko na "

She went up the stairs to our guest room

I took my shoes off and placed it on the shoe rack when I look at Vik again I see that he has eaten one whole doughnut and he's currently licking his fingers

Vic : " lika hugasan natin kamay mo "

We went to the kitchen where Mika is. I went straight to the sink and lifted Vik so that he can reach it.

After Vik washing his hands I let him down

Vic : " go brush your teeth in our bathroom then when you're ready to go to bed call me, okay? "

Vik : " yes, ma "

He ran up the stairs to brush his teeth

I look at the table and saw that there was two plates prepared. Mika sat in front of the other one so assuming that the other plate was for me I sat next to her.

Awkward silence.

This is all so new to me. This awkward silence between us is too much I mean usually when I get home from work she'd ask how my day went and I'd ask her the same but now it's like we're trying to test who's gonna speak first
