Jughead stood outside the Cooper house at the earliest hours of the morning. Tapping his foot impatiently. He knew that he didn't show up at Pops, he was held back after school and his foster parents had called a "family night". Including no means of escape, and no phones or other devices.

As the night mowed on he had began to forget about the meet up entirely, to his own surprise, making him feel even worse. It wasn't until someone mentioned his girl friend that the guilt hit him, forcing him to try and escape by all means.

He did feel incredibly guilty for it, he still should have found some means of contact. He was sure Claire would understand if he explained the situation( despite the fact she was never to pleased with his relationships with the North side). He knew how alone and vulnerable Betty had been feeling at late. His culpability weighed his heart down.

But that didn't mean Betty had to take revenge. Not meeting him at the railway tracks, this was for the mystery, it didn't correspond with what was going on in their personal lives.

After waiting for thirty minutes, he knew something was up. He made his way through the north side of town all the way up to her quaint little house surrounded by wild greenery.

Bringing him to where he stood then, throwing small pebbles at her bedroom window.

After finally giving into the fear that he would fracture the delicate glass, he made his way to the front of the house. Where to his surprise, the sitting room was dimly lit.

This was peculiar, left to her own devices he knew Betty would never be awake this hour. He also knew she never spent to long alone in that room choosing to do he own lounging in her own bedroom( keeping her parents and Polly's locked), the empty seats just reminding her of the family she lost.

He knocked ferociously on the dare, due to his slight annoyance and the fact he was scared at was happening on the other side.

He heard movement and rustles vary from inside, a blonde haired beauty eventually emerging from the darkness visible through the port hole of the door. Eventually unlocking it.

"Oh my God Jughead.." She said as if a realisation had just hit her, slapping her hand to her forehead.

"Listen I now I didn't show up and I'm sorry but I didn't think of us as a "revenge ridden" sort of couple... At least you could of texted me. " Jughead blabbed on, ready to provide a dull hearted apology. He has had so much on his mind of late, his plans had slipped through the cracks of his mind before he had a chance to object to family night.

"I know.. were not... I swear its just uhh something came up." She glanced back.

"Like what?" Jughead asked , unimpressed.

"Just come inside." She said quietly grabbing him by the forearm and pulling him into the amiable house.

She led him into the sitting room, a low light welcoming to the sight.

He was shocked to say the least.

Polly lay on the couch , sleeping heavily. He face looked tired, despite being heavily pregnant she looked weak- malnourished. She needed help, medical orientated help. Her hair was now a dirty blonde colour , her clothes slightly ragged. Jughead had so many questions. Where had she been? How has she survived? Why come back now, not when her sister needed her the most?

But Jughead was sure about one thing, Polly needed to receive some form of medical attention.

"What the hell!" Jughead went to exclaim loudly, before being cut off and pulled back out into the hall by Betty.
