Natalie's POV:

I plugged my earphones into my ears and walked down the road in silence. It was dark and pretty cold, so I pulled my jacket further around myself.

I had One Direction playing in my ear as I walked down the street.

Suddenly, I banged into someone and I ended up on the floor.

''Oh crap. Sorry. Really sorry.'' the boy's voice made me look up.

My jaw dropped and I gaped at him. Niall Horan. What the...?

''Niall Horan?'' I gasped.

''Yeah, please don't scream.'' he tensed, waiting.

''I won't.'' I whispered. He smiled and helped me up.

''So, what are you doing out here at night?'' he asked me.

''I could ask you the same thing.'' I winked at him.

''Well, you know... Prowling for cute girls to knock over and talk to,'' he joked. Wait, did he mean me?

''You?'' he quickly tried to hide his discomfort.

''I just needed some fresh air.'' I replied, smiling. I hugged myself for warmth.

''Oh, are you cold?'' he came to stand beside me and wrapped his arms around me. I wasn't that cold, but I wasn't going to complain.

''Hey, I'll walk you home.'' he offered.

''Oh, thanks.'' I said, surprised.

We started talking about nothing at all and when we got to my house, I didn't want him to leave. But I couldn't exactly ask him inside. My mum wouldn't like it.

''I've gotta go now, meet up with the boys,'' he said, with a sad face. ''Can I have your number?''

''Yes,'' I laughed at his face.

''Yay!'' he squealed like a girl.

I laughed and handed him my phone and he handed me his. We quickly tapped in our numbers and then he leant down and kissed me on my cheek.

''It was nice meeting you.'' he grinned at me.

''Likewise.'' I breathed, shocked by the kiss.

He smiled at me once again before leaving me in my doorway.

Then I ran up to my room, waited a few minutes and then screamed quietly, but happily.
