Chapter 5 - Let it go

After hours of running, Elsa took a break. As she leaned against a tree, Jack flew down beside her. He was worried about her. He put a hand of her shoulder to get her attention. It worked. Her head shot up and looked at his blue eyes.

“Are you alright?” Jack asked. Elsa shook her head.

“The whole kingdom knows now. I’m not safe. No ones safe.”

“Elsa, you have two options,” she nodded, “I can help you control it, which I know you won’t let me do or I can fly you up to the Northern Mountain. It the one place where you can be alone and never hurt anyone again.”

Elsa thought for moment.

“The Northern Mountain.”

Jack frowned. He had put her to a test to see if she had hope. If she had hope, she’d make an attempt of controlling her powers. If she didn’t, then that meant fear ruled her. He nodded and wrapped his arms around her waist.

“Hold on,” He told her.

“Wha-” Then they took off into the sky. Elsa was so scared she couldn't even scream. After about half an hour later they landed back on the snow covered ground.

“What is your plan next,” Jack asked.

“I have no idea.”

“Well, I’ll give you a little time alone so you can think, okay? I’ll be back tomorrow.”

He flew off leaving Elsa to her thoughts. Elsa began to walk up the mountain, rubbing her arms. She felt lonely.

"The snow glows white on the mountain tonight

Not a footprint to be seen

A kingdom of isolation,

And it looks like I’m the Queen.

"The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside

Couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I tried

Don’t let them in, don’t let them see

Be the good girl you always have to be

Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know

Well, now they know"

She looked at the glove she still had on. What was the point in wearing it now, she thought. She threw it off and let the wind take it away.

"Let it go, let it go

Can’t hold it back anymore"

She twirled her hands around making a snowman that her and Anna would make when they were kids. She gave him coal buttons, three twigs as hair, and two sticks as arms. Olaf, Elsa named him, your name is Olaf.

"Let it go, let it go

Turn away and slam the door

I don’t care

What they’re going to say

Let the storm rage on,

The cold never bothered me anyway

"It’s funny how some distance

Makes everything seem small
