When we arrive to the party almost everyone's eyes shift in my direction, obviously trying to figure out if they're seen me before.
Jaxon grabs my hand slowly, realizing how uncomfortable I am. I actually put effort in holding it back, and he steps closer, letting our hands brush against our hips.
"Head up princess, don't want the crown falling." Tommy whispers, forcing a smile to the crowd he's approaching.
I look up at Jaxon and he gives a slight nod, following close behind.
"Oh my goodness! Jaxon! I heard you were at a party, I didn't know if it was true!" A tall girl with long dark brunette hair bounces to his side, instantly placing her hands on his shoulders, greeting him.
He chuckles nervously and glances at me, "This is Brooklyn."
She lets go of him before quickly eyeing me, and pulling me into a hug, "You are a cutie! I knew Jaxi would scoop someone like you up soon enough!"
I smile, not knowing what else to do.
"I'm Ally by the way," she has a slight accent, yet I can't put my finger on where it's from. It's adorable though, and has a nice ring that I could listen to all day.
"Also known as the most outgoing, energetic, yet friendly person you will ever meet." Jaxon smirks, while she hits his shoulder softly.
"Come on Brooklyn, I'll introduce you to everyone!" Her brown eyes widen.
She grabs onto my hand and my other one slowly detaches from Jaxon's grasp.
I look back and he's already turned around talking to someone else.
"You want anything to drink?"
I give her a blank look and she smiles, "Don't worry, we have cans if you want pop, unopened."
I become relieved and nod, "A coke is fine thanks."
She nods to the group of girls, sitting on the couch, "Guys, this is Brooklyn."
I uncomfortably take a seat next to one, who gives me a little smile in return before continuing her conversation.
"You came with Jaxi right?"
The group stops to turn to me and I nod slowly, "Uh yeah. Him and Tommy."
"Oh wow." One girl says, exchanging a glare with her friend.
Ally comes back, scooting me over easily, handing me a can, "What are we talking about?"
I pop open the can and take a sip, letting the other girls talk.
"Did you know she came here with Jaxon?"
Ally raises her eyebrows, "Uh, yeah. Did you not?"
"Can someone please tell me what's going on?" I innocently ask, looking around.
"You know he got dumped by like, the hottest girl in school, right?"
I nervously scratch my neck, "I think he's mentioned that, yeah."
