Winners Take All (On Hold)

Camping Trip

It's early in the morning and we're all awake and getting everything ready so that we can go camping like we discussed yesterday. 

"This is going to be so fun." Lola smiles. 

"You get to share a tent with Mike." I nudge her, giggling. 

"Shush."

"You started it."

"Are you sure we can't help with loading the car up?" I ask the guys. 

"We got it."

"Alright."

The two of us get everything gathered and then sit to watch the boys load the car. 

"It's been so long since we've been camping."

"Oh yeah."

Soon the car was all loaded up with what we needed. We pile in and drive to the campsite. It takes a few hours but we finally get to the campsite. The guys get out and unload before getting to work putting the tents together.

"Is there anything we can do?"

"We're good. You two relax." Alex says.

"Okie dokie." Lola shrugs, laying a blanket and her penguin pillow pet on the ground before sprawling out in the sun. 

"Comfortable?" I ask. 

"Mmhmm."

I nod, sitting there on the ground, picking at the grass as we wait. She practically dozes off by the time they get both tents up. 

"She dozed off." I point to her. 

"Nice." Mike chuckles. 

"I think we got up just a tad bit too early."

"Maybe."

Then I try to stifle a yawn, but shake it off afterwards. 

"Okay, looks like we did get up too early." Alex remarks. 

"I'm fine."

"You yawned."

"I can nap later."

"If you're sure..."

"I'm sure..."

"We have to get the mattresses blown up anyway." I remark. 

"True..."

I get up and help with getting the mattresses filled with air, and getting them covered.Once they're all set, we put them into the tents, and then  put all our things in the tents as well.

"There. Done."

I go into the tent that Alex and I are going to be sharing and lay on the mattress. Alex follows, laying with me. 

"I'm not napping yet."

"Okay."

"I just wanna lay down for a bit, after sitting in a car for hours."

"Right."

"This was a good idea."

"Yeah it was."

"Gives us a chance to get closer than we are."

"Yeah." Alex smiles.

"Only bad thing about camping...the damn bugs."

"True."

"Damn mosquitos."

"We brought bug spray so hopefully you'll be alright."
