Winners Take All (On Hold)

Dates With Mike & Alex

It's finally the weekend and the week so far has been busy with house shows and everything else. We just recently made a trip to Virginia for the next round of shows, and Alex insisted that we stay at his place for the weekend instead of a hotel. Today we're having a kind of lazy day. Alex and I have started playing video games while Mike and Lola are deciding what they want to do. 

"Ohhh you suck!" I exclaim, as Alex passes me in the racing game we're playing. 

"Bwahahaha!" He laughs evilly.

"You're so in for it now."

"Bring it."

"You so don't know what you've just done."

"Oh really. Well do show me then."

"You're on."

We both race frantically, trying to win. I in the end pass him and beat him to win the game. 

"Hah!" I yell triumphantly.

"I win."

"You got lucky." Alex laughs. 

"Oh yeah, suuure."

"Yes you did."

"Luck has nothing to do with it."

"Yes it does."

"No it doesn't."

We go back and forth arguing playfully.

"Says who?"

"Me."

"You and what army?"

"My invisible army."

"Invisible army? Really? Really?"

"Yes really."

"Hmmm...well can your invisible army catch me?"

"Maybe."

"Well then....think fast." I say, hitting him with a pillow and dashing away and outside. 

"Hey!"

"Got to be faster than that!"

Alex comes after me and I laugh loudly. 

"They so like each other." Lola comments. 

"Yeah." Mike chuckles. 

"So where are we going for our date tonight?"

"That is a surprise."

"Awww. Not even a hint?"

"All I'm saying is that you need to dress nice for it."

"Formal? Semiformal?"

"Semiformal."

"Okay."

"But that's tonight. What would you like to do today?"

"I don't know. Have anything in mind?" She questions, playing with the hem of her shirt. 

"Hmmm, how about mini golf? That's always fun."

"Sure. Anything else?"

"An arcade maybe?"

"I was thinking maybe a walk." She says shyly. 

"Oh...yeah of course we can do that."

"Sounds good." She smiles a little. 

"Alright, let's get ready to go then."

She nods and gets up from the couch. Then she goes into the bedroom that she's sleeping in to get ready. It doesn't take her long and she meets back up with Mike by the front door.
