Chapter Twenty

☮Montana☮

“Okay, how about this?” I headed out of my closet, wearing a pair of white denim shorts and a sky blue tank top.

Skyler looked up from where she was probably stalking people on Instagram and Twitter. “Mmmmm…the tank top’s too skanky for a date.”

I rolled my eyes, and headed back into my closet.

It was nearing closer and closer to the date, and I hadn’t picked out anything! I was seriously panicking that I was going to show up at the date with my black singlet and tiny pink shorts!!!

“Sky-leeeeeerrr!” I moaned. “Stop being a creepy stalker and help me!!!”

I heard her let out a huge sigh, and she stomped into my closet.

She picked out a white tank top, a brown sort-of-see-through long sleeved top and a pair of denim shorts. Then she plopped them in my arms.

“Wear these with your white feather earrings, your love bracelet, your owl necklace and your black bag I got you for your birthday,” she instructed me.

Then she stomped back out, sinking down on my bed, and resuming back to stalking.

Well…she could’ve done this 2 hours ago!

I throw the clothes on and add the other things, before looking at myself in the mirror. Skyler was right. It looked good.

I straightened my hair, and then I sat down at my vanity.

I added some lipstick, foundation, bronzer before taking out my Naked3 palette and dusting some bronze eye shadow on.

“Alright, what do you think?” I swivelled around.

Skyler glanced up, and surveyed my look. “Nice.”

Phew. That whole ordeal was over.

I collapsed on the bed next to Skyler, careful not to mess anything up.

“So what the heck are you doing?” I questioned.

Skyler quickly hit the home button her iPhone, closing whatever she was doing. “Nothing.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Yeah…you know when you say nothing that really means something.”

Skyler chewed her lip. “I’m just texting my friend. Nothing special.”

I chuckled. “Yeah, and I’m Spiderman. Come on, tell me.”

Skyler bent her head, glancing at the bed.

“Well…I was just waiting for Cody to text me, or ring me, nothing special,” shrugged Skyler, casually.

I groaned. “I thought you said you were over him, Skye?”

Skyler turned to look at me, her eyes looking a bit watery. “How can I Monty? How on freaking earth can I? He’s been my longest boyfriend, and we’ve been through so much! I love him Montana! How can I just get over him just like that?” She snapped her fingers to emphasise.

I chewed my lip, putting my arm around her. “I’m sorry Skyler. I…I do really think you are a great couple. I just didn’t want to see you moping around.”

A tear rolled down Skyler’s face. “D-Do you think he’s moved on? D-Do you think he’s got a new…a new…g-g-

“No!” I quickly cut in. “No freaking way. I bet he’s doing the exact same as you. Curled up in his room, with five hundred tissues around him, watching Love Actually and Valentine’s Day.”
