I can't believe he's here! My first instinct was to hug him but I knew I couldn't. My mom was upstairs in her room watching tv and I was scared she'd see Ashton.

"What are you doing here!?" I asked

"We need to talk" he said

I told him to wait and went upstairs to my mother's room. I asked her if I could walk to get coffee and she said yes. I didn't like lying to her but I had to talk to Ashton.

"So I haven't really been okay all this time we haven't talked. I know it was just a week but I can't go a day without wanting to be with you! I'm really sorry I did that to your friend I just got really jealous of see on you talk with him, he's closer to your age and it was the second time seeing him talk to you. I'm really sorry Emma" he apologized

He talked really fast and kept his head down. I really couldn't stay mad at him.

"It's fine now, but you can't get mad every time you see Dylan ok?" I said

"Thanks Emma and I promise I won't try to beat up Dylan the next time I see him" he hugged me

"And it's been horrible not seeing you for a week too" I giggled

We walked a little more, holding hands. It felt good to talk with Ashton even if it had been just a week without him.

"You can come over to my house tomorrow after school if you want?" I told him

"Yeah, I'll come over." he said

We stopped walking a little before my house do my mom won't see him, he had also parked his car not too close to the house.

"Bye, um I-I love you Emma" he stuttered

He waited for my response nervously. I took time to answer because I just loved how he said that. His smile faltered a bit when I didn't answer fast.

"I love you Ashton" I smiled

He pulled me into a long passionate kiss.

He whispered bye one last time before leaving. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face even after he left. He had only said it once and hadn't let me respond. It was great to hear him say those words. I tried to stop smiling as I opened my house door but I just couldn't contain the happiness.

"Where's your coffee?" my mother asked when she saw me

"Oh I uh finished it on the way here" I responded

"Sure... were you with a friend named Dylan? Your brother told me you've been talking to him, if you're dating him it's fine as long as it's not Ashton" she said his name in a disgusted tone

Why can't she just accept that I love Ashton?

"No mom, Dylan's just a friend"

It's not like Dylan is ugly but I wouldn't date him. I just don't feel that way about him.

"Yeah and Ashton was 'just a friend' too" she mumbled

I left because she annoyed me so much sometimes.
