Chapter 26: Love and Death

The purple lassat looked at them all without saying a word.

Chopper came out and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Zeb.

Mira and Zak backed away.

"You know him?" Zak asked, still clutching the blaster.

"It's...it's Zeb....but something's....wrong....and he-he's supposed to be dead!" Sabine explained, shaking.

"Zeb....?" Ezra asked cautiously as he approached him.

Zebs' eyes flashed red.

Mira began to speak up "Dad...please get away from him."

Sabine suddenly had the instinct to draw her darksaber.

"Mira, Zak, get inside." Sabine spoke in a tone barely above a whisper.

"I'm not leaving you mom!" Mira protested.

"Just do it." She said in a strict more urgent voice.

Mira and Zak began slowly backing up toward the ship.

Ezra continued to approach Zeb.

"Zeb?" He asked once more as he slowly put his hand on his shoulder.

The lassat didn't even blink.

Within a flash, quicker than Sabine could do anything, their once friend, had shot stabbed Ezra.

Ezra fell to the ground.

Sabine shrieked and leaped toward Ezra in tears.

Before she could do anything, or even force heal, Zeb shot her.

She fell next to Ezra.

Ezras' eyes filled with tears and he grabbed Sabines hand.

Her eyes showed nothing but heartbreak, as they slowly shut.

Ezra weakly glanced toward Zeb.

A bounty hunter stepped out from behind the Ghost, with a device in hand.

"After the Empire fell I was offered quite a bit of money to kill Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger, the ones that caused so much trouble for the Empire. I thought what better way then to mind control your once friend into doing so? He is dead but it's amazing what technology can do." They spoke in a voice, cruel and uncaring.

Mira heard the gunshot and shriek and ran outside, ignoring Zaks' plea for her to come back.

Mira saw her parents on the ground, one breathing very little, and the other not breathing at all.

She ignored the bounty hunter as she ran to their side.

"M-mom! Dad!" She cried as she tried to force heal.

Ezra looked up at her "I lo-love you sweetie. I'm...I'm glad y-you have Zak. I'm sorry I'm leaving you..." he spoke softly as his eyes shut and he went limp as well.

The bounty hunter pressed a few buttons on their device and was on with *Zeb* before they could stop him.

Zak ran to Miras' side and hugged her.

At only 16, Mira was alone.

Without Kanan and Hera.

Without Zeb.

Without her parents.

I'm crying I can't make an authors note. I'm just gonna say that I was deciding how I could painfully kill sabezra and this happened. I'm so sorry 😭
