If you talk to Twilighters that don't like Harry Potter, one of the first things they will say is that twilight is obviously better because it is a love story. But what they don't realise is that Harry Potter is in fact a love story. The whole story is based on a mother's love.
There are many different types of love, the most common being romantic, family and friendship. HP has all three. For example:
Lily's love for Harry saved his life.
Ron and Harry are the best of friends as well as Hermione
Even though he isn't related to her, Mrs Weasley loved Harry like a son
Fleur loved Bill even after his attack
Ron and Hermione, while they have their differences, love each other
Fred and George. Need I explain?
Cho loved Cedric and even after his death, she didn't want to start seeing Harry in fear of insulting his memory.
Krum honestly adored Hermione
James loved Lily (way more than Snape ever did)

You see? Harry Potter has as much love as twilight. Maybe even more. And at least none of these relationships are toxic and absuive *cough* Bella and Edward *cough*
