A X New X Beginning

"Mommy!" The blond haired boy cries out, excitedly running around the yard with his father.

"What, sweetie?" I question, a smile on my face as I watch the two play-wrestle.

"When I grow up... I want to be a Hunter! Just like you and daddy!" He exclaims, pretending to strike his dad with a sword. I walk over to them, leaning down to his height.

"You'll be the best Hunter in the whole world," I tell him, ruffling his hair.

"Yeah! I'll be so strong that I can save everyone!" He says, holding up his arm to show us how big his muscles will be.

"Yes, you will," His dad says, smiling widely as his son's declaration. The small boy goes off to play with his toys.

I stand up to my full height, looking at my husband, who's eyes are scarlet and filled with joy. He hugs me tightly, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"I love you," I tell him.

"I love you, too," He says, stepping away from the embrace. He looks over at the boy who is animatedly playing with action figures. "Rai is going to grow up to do amazing things, I know it."

I turn around to watch him. He pretends to fly his figures to space, making his own sound effects.

"Yeah, he is," I agree, smiling.
